I only have seasons 3-6 and I got them for like $6 each at aetv.com so this may be a suitable replacement. Save some space, too.

Am I correct in assuming this is the old discs with nothing new except smaller sleaker packaging?

I already have the first 3 sets but only watched the first season so far, not sure if I would double dip on this unless I can get it really cheap. The old sets do take up a lot of room though, would be nice to cut it in half.

If you actually read the article linked in the first post, you'll see the answer to that question is "no."

Actually it looks like it is just the same old DVDs repackaged in slimmer cases... the never aired pilot episode "The Mystery of the Lost Chord" is on the first box set (season 1 & 2), the Karaoke theme song is on the second box set (season 3 & 4), "One Stormy Night" Count Duckula is on the 3rd box set (season 5 & 6) and the "Town of Terrors" Count Duckula as well as the alternate song options is on the 4th boxset (the final seasons)

All this according to the reviews here at DVDtalk

I maybe wrong but as far as the extras listed from the announcement it sure looks like its the same

I did read the article and I recognized the features listed as previously released, which is why I assumed the discs where the same and nothing new was added.

Thank you DIVX Rulz for a polite answer.
