Rescue Me (S3)...glaring mistake in last 2 eps?
In "Hell", ep. 12, you will see Kenny Shea's new girl, the "semi-nun" Theresa at Johnny's funeral standing beside Kenny when they move to Sean and Maggie's wedding. She also quietly scolds Kenny and Tommy when they are the only ones to clap after they are pronounced. She is then seen dancing at the wake/party after. She never speaks however.
Then, in "Beached", ep. 13, the last episode of the 3rd Season, when Kenny takes Tommy to dinner and they meet Theresa there, she says "Kenny told me about your brother, I'm so sorry, how's your family?"
A glaring mistake if ever I saw one in such a brilliant show. I submitted it as a goof to IMDb.
Anyone else notice this??

I'm befuddled....Are you suggesting that she can't speak??
Because we never heard her "speak" we're supposed to believe that she can't? How long was that scene at the cemetery? 3 min? Unless someone said she was mute, I don't see why we should think that.

Yeah, where exactly is the glaring mistake? The fact that Lieau told her about Johnny's death, or her asking how Tommy's family is doing with it?
And here i thought you were gonna say something about them using two distinctly different trucks for Ladder 62.

Okay.. I just reread your OP and I think I now know what you're referring to. The fact that she KNEW about this brother dying and was at the funeral then later on spoke with Tommy as if she wasn't at the funeral and found out later on?
I first took it to mean that you thought she never spoke .. as in she was mute or something.

My beef with, I think, an even larger glaring mistake is this whole thing with Tommy's father wanting a Gavin male heir. In the first couple episodes of Season One when Johnny - Tommy's brother - was introduced, I thought they said something to the effect of his kids being a mess - that his son was in a boarding school. Later, however, when the subplot of Janet and Johnny come up, there is no mention whatsoever of his having ANY children, let alone a son.

I'm not sure if the OP's concern is an error ... or just conversation. When I meet people I don't know, I usually reference their personal details through a mutual auch acquaintance (as "Kenny told me about your brother ...") even if I already know them.

So there's at least 2 we haven't even seen yet... (although I could be misremembering the "7")
