Anyone have any comment on the Charlie Chaplin Collections (Vol 1 & 2)? ...
I think they are great.
On a side note, if you go over to the DVD Clubs forum and read up on the Columbia House DVD Club, you can get the individual releases as enrollment titles (ie, cheap) and after one membership cycle end up paying an average of about $5 each for all 9 of them. That's how I got mine.

Starting in the same boat as you, my personal choice was to buy the three individual titles due to better packaging and saving a few bucks. I didn't see any advantage to the box set. I would definitely upgrade Fistful of Dollars.
Better Packaging...does this mean that they are all packed like GBU SE? That would be sweet. Lobby cards included would rock as well.

Now that they have their new website, does anyone know how long it take before your order ships?
Do you still get email confirmation?
I placed an order on Sunday that now has several items listed as shipped but I haven't received any email confirmation yet.

Can someone help me out with the difference between these two Matrix DVDs they list:
One is a bit cheaper. Is there any difference to your knowledge?
Thanks!
From the Amazon listings, the cheaper one was released recently and I think the only difference is that it is an Amary, while the more expensive one is the originally issued snapper. But I'm not 100% on that being the only difference.

From what I've heard they are not the same as the first GBU, but are keep cases with slip covers. They also don't have the overlapping discs and an accordion foldout system that the Anthology does have. They come with their own individual booklets, and by keeping my original GBU CE I keep the lobby cards. The other three new CEs do not have lobby cards.

I think the decreased interest is due to a combination of more price competitors and due to past sales, Ive almost approached watching or owning every dvd i could possible want with less and less shelf space.

There have been some better deals on the Bond sets. For example recently Costco was selling them for $34 each. Hard to say what will happen in the future but it is possible something better could come around if you waited until later.

It's the best price you'll find right now on the web for the collections, so if you want them, yes, that's a good deal at the moment. For comparison purposes, during the last 20% off sale I got Vol 1 & 2 for $43.91 each.
The Costco deal I believe required a membership (not to mention a Costco somewhere nearby) to get a $10 off coupon mailed to you. Otherwise, they were $44/each + tax, and that has been dead for a few months now. Any other passing good deals were also in the mid $4X.XX range.

It was possible to get them through Barnes&Noble.com for around $38 during the last Christmas shopping season without a membership. I went that route to get volumes 3 and 4. It's just a hunch but I have a feeling this Christmas there might be some good deals on the Bond sets. I ended up getting all four volumes for a little under forty each without doing the Coscto deal.

You can always get the individual releases for $7.75 or so with this sale if you don't want them all or care about extras. I've just been buying the seperate releases as I only want the Connerys and some of the Moore ones, plus the two Dalton films which are out. I could care less about the Brosnan films or any extras.

I think that's probably true. From spending a few hours looking for things at the DD site, to me it seems this isn't as good a sale as their old ones used to be. I think that's a pretty big factor as well.
Regarding the James Bond sets, Amazon had the best deal I've seen so far. They had them all (including shipping) for $125 about 2 months ago.

Yes it's much more confusing now. It doesn't show the discount per item anymore either. I found that when I got that blank page, stuff was actually in my cart. I just had to return to the main page and select cart and then it appeared. The first time I did this I was trying to place a big order and got 3 of everything instead of 1. It would have taken me quite a while to go through and reset everything to 1, so I just canceled the whole order instead. Pretty stupid though to have this kind of a glitch.

I made an order on the 5th and one of those items was Wait till Your Father Gets Home and it is showing up as a preorder and the 20 % off sale is not applying to it but other 5th releases such as Fall Guy are not marked as preorders. I complained to DVDAF, expecting their generally excellent customer service to take care of this right away before it shipped but their response was wait till it ships and then contact them again and they will then refund me the money.
Also, about three or four items had disappeared from my basket, it was a large order and I did not notice until a while but they were there when last I looked before going through with the address and billing information. I reordered these with other codes but it just seemed odd.

Pretty good order for me. I'm trying to watch how much $$ I spend, but I've been eyeing all of these for awhile, and no one was really close price-wise to beating DDD, and on top of the 20% off, I pulled the trigger.

You can always get the individual releases for $7.75 or so with this sale if you don't want them all or care about extras. I've just been buying the seperate releases as I only want the Connerys and some of the Moore ones, plus the two Dalton films which are out. I could care less about the Brosnan films or any extras.

Q What is the code?
A There are several different codes, a list of them will be posted in the thread announcing the sale. You can use each code one time during the sale. Usually the codes are the same from sale to sale, sometimes a few will change as different groups sponsor the event. Here's some of the codes that have been used:

Sorry.....it might make sense though to put the codes in the first post of this thread. Since this is the deal thread, it would be a good place for the codes. I now see the sticky you are talking about, but I usually just look at stickies as things that apply always and not just during a 17 day sale. :)
Your quote even say's "a list of them will be posted in the thread announcing the sale". Which makes sense but is in fact missing.

Personally, I would like for everyone to be in the habit of reading the FAQ that we have. There is a lot of good information in there that is always asked during the course of the sale, so it is a good resource for information and you may get your answer faster there. Plus, MovieExchange has been nice enough to put it together for us. The only thing that would be better is if we could make Quick Summary Posts like fatwallet where the community can add stuff for everyone instead of stuff being answered on page 6 of the thread and get asked again a few pages later.

While I agree that we should all read the FAQ, I still think it makes sense to list the codes on the first page of this thread. At the very least there should be a link to the sticky saying something like "for the codes or other questions go here". You shouldn't have to go to two places to accomplish the basics of the deal. Also the way the FAQ reads is that the codes listed were viable in the past. It would be nice to have the codes that actually work for this 2007 sale in the OP (WGN is apparently not functioning). Like I said before, no worries, I read the FAQ and appreciate it being there (I now know where the codes are if I decide to make another purchase). I just think a little more info in the OP would save a bunch of the questions.

I was thinking that the only difference was a new case. It probably is. Thanks for the help.
i am not 100% positive, BUT i believe i read that once they released that matrix trilogy boxset, and then later re-released the movies individually, that newer one with the non-snapper case could be from there.
this is important because then you are getting a better transfer, and also a green tint to the film to make it match the style of the others, not the blue tint it originally had. in short, the ultimate trilogy dvd version is newer than and replaces the original single film version in the snapper case.
i might be wrong though so if someone else thinks differently please let us know. thanks

Well, those codes were listed in the previous threads and it did not stop the questions. And I really don't think there is a definitive list that work this year. I think most people just use codes in the list until they find one that works. And with the number that do work, the few that don't shouldn't stop anyone from being able to make an order. While I agree that it would be convenient to have it in the OP, it got left out this time and unless a mod goes back and edits it in, there is no way to fix it, so the most logical place to go is the FAQ.

I think that's probably true. From spending a few hours looking for things at the DD site, to me it seems this isn't as good a sale as their old ones used to be. I think that's a pretty big factor as well.
I wonder if folks are looking at past DD sales with rose-colored glasses, as it seems that I have found a number of DVDs in this sale that are brought down to around 50% savings, or slightly more, off of the DVD's retail price.
Also, this sale crosses two really solid DVD release weeks, what with Rescue Me and the Godzilla flicks being released this week, and Deadwood S3, and titles like Ghost rider coming next week. Not to mention that tiltles like The 4400, The Closer, The Waltons (which was even reviewed by DVD Talk, it is a beloved series), end up being bargains compared to B&M stores prices, or even Amazon's prices (for example, you end up saving several bucks over Amazon's current price for The Closer S3).
Of course, how can one forget The Matrix HD set, which still has that new car smell, and can be obtained for half-off retail via DD (my copy, purchased as a gift for my brother, who has HD playback capability with his X-Box 360 HD Drive, has already shipped)!!
I like to think that even though B&M stores will also have titles like Deadwood available for half-off next Tuesday, that we are not yet so jaded that deals like getting an HD set for half-off are still impressive to behold during this sale.
It is also cool that so many folks can get BR and HD titles for great prices during this sale. I think one of the keys to enjoying a DD sale is whether or not the sale starts right before/during a blah release week (heck, there have been at least a couple of weeks in the past 4-6 weeks, where it was probably difficult for even a hard-core DVD buyer to muster the enthusiasm to head out to the major retailers to pick up a title or two), or crosses two solid release dates, like this sale is doing.
I also appreciate that I am finally getting e-mails from DD, I remember receiving no shipping notice e-mails from DD (then DDD) during their last 20% sale (and that frustrated me to no end, I remember commenting on this in the monster threads that get created during these sales).
I will be placing another order today, and then I will place another one next week (this sale practically forces you to make multiple purchases, to take advantage of the DVDs that are being release for sale this week and the next).
For a moment there, I thought I was okay with walking away from DD, and sticking with Amazon for most of my Dvd purchases, but a good deal is a good deal, and this sale allows me to catch up on some series I can only enjoy on DVD, for almost half off retail (I do not get cable), so I am certainly a happy camper.
Edited to add: I also forgot to mention the Steelbooks, which were just released this week, so I think what may be holding folks back from buying is not frustration at DD's lack of deals for the DVDs on their site, but the fact, that like myself, maybe the money that would usually be there to purchase lots of DVDs during this sale...is just not in the same place as it used to be (I know that more of what I now have in the bank has to go towards paying my bills/etc., and my entertainment budget has had to take a sizable hit). Believe me, if I had the money, there are definitely some great deals for certain DVDs/DVD sets that I would not normally pass-up (even if it would take forever to catch-up on actually watching the films/shows I bought).

Has anyone that ordered only books had their order ship yet? I ordered 7 books on 01 June, 6 of which were listed as in stock. I received the order confirmation email early 02 June, and 4 of the items were listed as backordered- ship in 1-3 days. I have checked my online status each day since then, and my order is listed as processing with 5 titles listed as open and 2 on backorder. From previous experience, DD has shipped the in stock DVD titles and sent the rest when they were available, but it doesn't appear that they're doing so with book orders. Anyone get their books yet?

Well, shipment #1 arrived.
It had items from 3 of my shipments, but not all of them. I'm going to give it a few days before calling because about 8 items on the invoice were not included... but the invoice claimed they were, which leads me to believe they're just in a different box all together.
Only reason I was a little alarmed is that DDD usually alerts you on the invoice if something wasn't included with that shipment, this one appears like they should have been in the box too.

I've been keeping up with the threads and I have seen probably 6 or 7 people pick up the mini-series "The Lost Room" that aired on Sci-Fi last year. I would HIGHLY suggest this mini-series. It is easily one of the top mini series that I have ever seen. It is $14.99 at DDD before the 20% off ($11.99 after discount)
I only point this out because it lists it as full screen on DDD website: DDD Link (http://www.deepdiscount.com/viewproduct.htm?productId=8592774), but from everything I have seen, there is only one version, the anamorphic widescreen version. This includes the DVDTalk Review (http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=27362&___rd=1).
I wish they would have made this a TV series, it would have been amazing. If you go to the Amazon Link (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000MMMTD2/imdb-button/) you can listen to an interview with the director who mentions wanted to make more "The Lost Room" mini series.
Strayed a little bit off the topic, but I wanted everyone to know that it was released in it's OAR.

Well, I won't be using DeepDiscount anymore. Sad part is its not technically their fault as far as I know. I placed my order on Monday night (Sergio Leone Collection, M:I S2, Seinfeld S8, Trading Places, and Coming to America) to be shipped Next Day Air. It shipped Tuesday, and everything looked on track for me to get it today.... yet I don't have my DVDs. Yah see, UPS is apparently employed by incompetent morons who don't know how to ship packages. I checked my tracking number this morning and it said my package had been misrouted to the wrong UPS location and that the problem had been fixed and redirected to the right place. Big problem is that last part never happened. I called them many times and they kept saying I would get the package today, until it was 5PM and a UPS guy was at the office next door and I asked him about the package and was told he didn't have it. He called his center and they said they didn't get the package. I yelled at about 5 different people at UPS and all I got was "sorry, it'll be there tomorrow." Yet they still have no idea where the package is, and don't really care that they broke their guarantee. None of the idiots I spoke to even seemed to know the meaning of the word. So, since DeepDiscount uses UPS I won't be buying from them anymore.

For what it's worth, I, too, have stopped ordering from places where UPS is the only option or an option that will be used unannounced. I don't think I've ever had that issue with the free shipping at DD. Did you pay for the faster shipping?

Is this the best version of Monty Python and the Holy Grail to get:
It's $22.42 before the 20% off, but I noticed there was another edition that is $29.88.Yes, that is the "Extaordinarily Deluxe Edition" from 2006. It is the best edition available, as it has a nice new transfer. The more expensive one is older, and comes with.....a film cell and a script? I'd pass on that one unless you are a big collector.

I saw the UPS guy next door today. I keep thinking of last November when they delivered my box down the street but the neighbor brought it over the next morning. Opened box but everything was still sealed inside along with the packing slip.
Weird thing is that my shipping e-mail from DDD stated it was coming USPS and showed no tracking number. I then used the tracking # on the box with the UPS website and it showed the box was delivered and left on the FRONT PORCH. Sure was, but not my FRONT PORCH. :hairpull:
Everything worked out in the end. I guess I was lucky.

I'm tempted to get the 1st and 2nd seasons during this sale and then grab the 3rd (and final) season once it's released next month.
Anyone think we may be seeing a boxed set for the complete series at some point in the future?
Or am I just suffering from some boxed set addiction...

(I could always wait and pick up the separate seasons during the fall sale if no plans for a series set have surfaced by then but where's the fun in waiting?)

There seem to be two options for Blazing Saddles, 30th Anniversary DVD. One with the DVD by itself for $7.32 and one bundles with (?) Blue Collar Comedy Tour (?) of all things, for $9.10.
Is it the same disc in both? If so, would the other disc be worth it for trade in purposes for only $1.78 (or whatever it works out to after the discount) more?

Has anybody tried cancelling their order with DD? What a pain. Not even 3 minutes after placing an order, I decided I didn't want one item so I was going to cancel my order. I call up there and they say that the order hasn't shown up on their system yet and that they have already started packing my order and to write RETURN TO SENDER on unopened package when it arrives. What a pain. I appreciate the fast turn around, but to try and cancel something right after ordering it and not being able to is ridiculous.

Hey, just had a quick question for someone who has more experience with Deep Discount. Right now they have the 3rd season of Deadwood on preorder for $55.38...over $40 off SRP. This comes out on June 12th, so I am planning to buy it with the 20% off.
My question is, should I expect a price jump once the preorder ends? At $44 dollars (after 20% sale) this will be by far the cheapest way of picking this up on release week, but it seems like it's too good to be true.

I've been able to cancel orders or just items in orders from them over the phone. It helps if the items are out of stock though, so the order hasn't started the apparently unstoppable "shipping process."
I had the same problem with BestBuy.com recently. I wanted to get the sale items for that week for in store pickup but buy them online (so I could get affiliate link rebates as well as RZ points) but they claimed one item was not available in the store, so I had to order it for shipping and pay $1.79 shipping charge and tax on the shipping. THEN when I got to the store, the item WAS there, right on the shelf. I tried to cancel it, but of course, could not do it in store. They let me call the online division, but I got the same, "it's too early, we don't have the order yet, call back in an hour" excuse. I got back home an hour later and called and got the same "I can't cancel the order, it's already entered the shipping stage" excuse! They said I could return it to the store when it comes, but that won't return me the shipping plus tax charge. I wasn't sure if writing "refused, return to sender" would get me a full refund either, so I just ended up selling it on Half.com for what amounted to a break even price for me, what a pain.

I'm waiting for that too and I also hope the price doesn't change. Anything (or nothing) could happen. I'm guessing the price will stay the same if only to avoid the inevitable complaints and bashing that would ensue should they jack up the price.
I could be wrong.

Yeah, it's a great price. I think it's set to beat Amazon's, which it does by a few cents. So when Amazon raises its price after release week, DD probably will too, at least that's how it usually works. But you should be able to get it within the sale window.

When that happened to me with BB, I angrily told their customer service people on the phone that I shouldn't have been charged shipping for an item which was instore the whole time.
They refunded the shipping.

It took me a little while to warm up to Deadwood (a few episodes) but now it's one of my favorite HBO dramas, right up there with The Wire and The Sopranos. The show did get cancelled and the movies are still in the planning stages, but the season sets are definitely worth watching if you think it's your kind of thing. I'll be retiring my VHS tapes and getting the DVDs this week. Those prices are great.

I think DD will be careful not to jack up the price, because B&M stores are offering the set for $49.99 (and at Best Buy, you also get a free DW themed deck of cards), the B&M price for this set is great, so my hope is that I am not full of beans, and DD really does keep DW at $55.38 when the 12th rolls around.

Do any of the Canadian customers know how long they usually take to get their stuff? It says 10-20 business days, .... don't know how accurate that is?
Also, one of my items was not shipped due to being out of stock, do they recharge shipping seeing as it's coming to Canada or does the one shipping charge cover all items regardless of if it's shipped separately?

It usually takes me 3 weeks or sometimes longer for DDD orders. Prob cause customs ALWAYS stop em and gets their hands on them.
The shipping cost is a once per order thing, they won't charge you more shipping on OOS items, but you might get hit by customs and $5 processing fee again.

How come, when I go to www.deepdiscount, the Homicide complete season 1-7 is about $239. What gives? What is the link to the cheaper version of the complete set on DeepDiscount. I see no reason why it wouldn't work. I know others here have used one-time VISA account #'s they get from their banks. It should probably work the same as a credit card as long as the funds are sufficient. There must be an FAQ on the VISA site concerning their uses online.

I've done it before, not on DD, but you can use Simon Gift Cards and Prepaid Visa Cards on online purchases, the thing is, you have go on the card's website (info should be on the back of the card) and login with your card number and set it so you can make purchases online... or at least that's what I had to do when I received a $100 Visa Card.

I have a backlog of DVDs to watch - I am trying to resist TZ: Complete Definitive Series. I am a casual fan of Twilight Zone - always liked the show, but must confess there are several episodes I have not seen. I do love sets that have hours of extras like this one. Would you get this, or Homicide: Complete series (seen it - great show, but police dramas are not a favorite), or just rent them both from netflix?
mifuneral

It's pretty fucked up that you can get Homicide: The Complete Series for $77 yet each season is $48 after discount. I mean, nothing against those who are getting The Complete Series-- I'm glad they're getting a deal and it's a great show. However, those who collected the show by the seasons are totally getting screwed over. I already have seasons 1-6, and to see such a trivial difference between buying the final season and buying the complete series is beyond frustrating for me.

Good question! My smarty answer is because I haven't bought it and it's on my want-list. Now if I had bought it long ago, the 2-disc set would probably be $5 and easily found in Costco, Sam's Club and Walmart bins. :-) Lately I've become very firm on my price limits, and I won't cave in on buying it until it's under $10. If it never happens, no biggie.

The 2 disc Sin City release will never be $10, except maybe on Black Friday or something. I think the best we can hope for, for a normal price, is $20 or so.
I don't own it either, and I'm also waiting for the price to go down.

On Tuesday 6/12, Welcome Back Kotter Season 1 releases on DVD. This is one of my favorite TV series, but before I buy it from DDD I need to know something important (which I haven't been able to find anywhere on the Internet):
Are all the Kotter episodes completely unedited and is all of the original music intact?
I couldn't stand it if they used syndicated episodes or replaced the theme song with something else (a la Bosom Buddies replacing Billy Joel's My Life).

I see this problem happening to me. Who did you order a HD-replacement case from? What did it cost you? More details please! Thanks in advance for the info!
Cost me $3.49 for (incl shipping) for one case. I went here - http://www.dvdinternational.com/pd_hd.cfm

The 2 disc Sin City release will never be $10, except maybe on Black Friday or something. I think the best we can hope for, for a normal price, is $20 or so.
I don't own it either, and I'm also waiting for the price to go down.
As the Billy Joel song goes "You may be right... I may be crazy". However, there are loads of other 2-DVD SEs that have been on sale for $5 or $10 (just look at the Warner SEs). So why is Sin City SE so special? I don't know.
I may be wrong, but in the next few years I imagine standard DVD will suffer the same fate as old Xbox and PS2 games... very few new releases and vendors will stop carrying many titles. When that happens I expect blowout clearance sales, and I figure I should be able to pick up a lot of stuff I wanted in the $5-$10 range. If I don't, then I'll feel better buying the more expensive HD-DVD or BluRay version once the format war is settled (or I can buy a cheap combo player).

Since this is related to potential DVD purchases during this sale, I hope people don't mind a couple dumb questions here:
- Has anyone found any reviews on Rush Hour 1 & 2 Special Editions? I'd like to know how they are different than the previous releases (which I own) (besides the obligatory Rush Hour 3 promo material).
- What are these "Steelbook" releases? I Googled and checked Amazon, and I couldn't find a description what "Steelbook" means. I guess this is a new term someone invented. I'm imagining it's a hard steel case like an old Terminator 2 release had long ago.

This happens all the time, just not always quite so drastic. It might be best for you to get the complete series and sell the first 6 seasons. Its the messed up side of dvd.

Yeah, I was considering that, but I dread the thought of selling the dvds. I know I'm going to get screwed over if I take them to a used dvd place and I don't know the first thing about ebay.

Yeah, I can understand that. Is the packaging of the complete series different, or is it just the seasons packaged together?

A little off subject, but I feel compelled to ask. Are you listening to Billy Joel at this very moment. That's your 2nd reference to him in the last hour! :)

If you sell them to DVDPlanet, you can get $20.98 for S1/2, and $29.98 each for S3 thru S6, in store credit, less your postage to get them there. (At least according to the current quotes.) Almost $141. Not too shabby.
I've only sold them used DVDs once, and got credit in about three weeks. There's at least one thread on the Store Forum about other people's experiences (which, admittedly, vary).
And the only differences with the big set (to answer exharrison) are (1) a bonus disc with the Law & Order eps that crossed over with Homicide, and the TV movie that followed the series, and (2) a nice-looking "file-cabinet" looking box (I'm sure just cardboard) to put your six sets (S1/2 was one set) and your bonus disc in.

Even taking them to a used store in the worst case all you need to get is $5 for each season you already own to come out $1 ahead overall, plus you would have all new discs and packaging. That's what I would do.

That site will tell you more than you could ever want to know about a steelbook. They're really nice cases. They look great if you have the room to display them. My only complaint is that the discs overlap inside, but I can overlook that.
The ones that just came out should be identical to the previous 2 disc releases of the movies, other than the new case. Probably not worth it if you already have the movies, but if you don't these are very nice. If you do get them shop around first. I know buy.com has them for 12.75 each.

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the Ultimate Superman Collection and the Christopher Reeves Superman collection? Other than the fact that Ultimate contains Superman Returns. Will the Christopher Reeves collection contain the special edition DVDs too?
Also, is the Ultimate Superman Collection a digipak(?) (i.e. folds out to reveal the 14 discs) or does each movie have its own Amaray case/Keepcase?

There is a big thread that goes through each disc in the DVDTalk forum, but I think the gist of it is, the Reeves collection has the new releases of four movies. Then another like six dvds for Superman Returns the documentary "Look, Up in the Sky" and the Max Fleischer cartoons. I THINK.
Looks like I was close:
Warner Brothers' 14-disc "Superman: Ultimate Collector's Edition" box set is a mammoth collection of five Superman movies, a bonus sixth movie, an expanded edition of one film, a long-awaited director's cut of another, two feature-length documentaries, all of the Max Fleischer Superman cartoons, a rare television pilot, and enough bonus material to keep a Supes fan busy for the better part of a month.
For those not yet aware of the contents, please note that this box set is one of two being released by Warner Bros., the other being the "Superman: The Christopher Reeve Collection." Both sets collect the four-disc "Superman" special edition, the two-disc "Superman II" special edition, and the single disc "Superman III" and "Superman IV" deluxe editions. The "Ultimate Collector's Edition" adds to this the two-disc "Superman Returns" special edition, the "Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut" disc, and the documentary "Look! Up in the Sky," each of which have also been given individual releases. The "Ultimate" set then adds two discs of bonus material exclusive to this box. It's easy to admire Warner Bros.' decision to grant Superman fans the ability to pick and choose just how much Superman material they want to own.

I see no reason why it wouldn't work. I know others here have used one-time VISA account #'s they get from their banks. It should probably work the same as a credit card as long as the funds are sufficient. There must be an FAQ on the VISA site concerning their uses online.
Yeah, the thing is is that what I want to get totals to more than what both cards are worth so I was wondering how that would work. I guess I'll just give it a try.

Homicide: Life on the Street Complete Season 1 & 2 [4 Discs] $15.00
Homicide: Life on the Street The Complete Season 3 [6 Discs] $19.00
Homicide: Life on the Street The Complete Season 4 [6 Discs] $19.00
Homicide: Life on the Street The Complete Season 5 [6 Discs] $25.00
Homicide: Life on the Street The Complete Season 6 [6 Discs] $25.00
Homicide: Life on the Street The Complete Season 7 [6 Discs] $21.50
You get a little more if you take store credit but I wanted the money back I paid for set which is awesome.

For those who have used the site a lot. Can you use cards like the Simon Virtual Gift Card and the Prepaid Visa Cards? How would that work? I wanted to pick up a few dvds from there and I have these cards and I was hoping to use them. Would they work on there?
Yes, I just used a pre-paid Visa GC I got from a Mazda testdrive offer. You just make your order like you would any other order with a regular credit card. Just don't go over the amount on your pre-paid card. So long as you have the funds for your order you place the order like you would any other. I never had to set mine for online orders, but I guess it could depend on the card.

It depends. Usually they're right on track with what they promise. Sometimes I've had items ship earlier than they quoted. Other times later. Usually, though, it's about what they estimate.

Ah so you can't have a higher total than what is on the one card? That sucks. I was hoping to use both cards at once on one larger total. And just pay the difference. Oh well.
