X-Men DVD's Question
I'm looking to get some or all of the X-Men dvd's from either DP or DDD with the 20% sale.
There are a lot of dvd's out there (Triology, Steelbook, regular versions...)
Which dvd's do you recommend ?
I haven't seen any of them (except for parts of X1 and X2) on cable. I heard the 3rd one wasn't too good.

My recommendation:
- Get the X-Men 1.5 steelbook dvd (a Best Buy exclusive though). This is the best version of the film in a 2-disc set and a nice steelbook case. If you really don't want to buy from Best Buy, just go with the regular version of 1.5 in the digipak packaging (exactly the same except for the packaging).
- Get the X2 steelbook dvd (available everywhere). This is also the best version of the film in a 2-disc set and a nice steelbook case. The regular 2-disc edition of X2 is exactly the same, just not packaged in steelbook. Be careful though, as there were 1-disc editions of X2 subsequently released, and it may not be easy to differentiate from the 2-disc release.
- Get any version of the X3 dvd. AFAIK the "Collector's Edition" is just the basic 1-disc with the addition of a comic, *not* a second disc. If you can manage to track it down, try to find the Future Shop exclusive steelbook edition of the 1-disc. Probably have to resort to Ebay at this point though.
** Avoid the trilogy 3-pack. AFAIK it includes the 1-disc edition of all 3 movies, which is the only version available for X3, but for the first two you really want the 2-disc editions. **

I bought the X trilogy on sale for $17.99 online a few months ago thinking i wouldnt mind the 1 disc editions. Just sold it hoping for a better set in the future when Wolvie comes out to theatres. Id go for the steelbooks if you want the best out there now.

And for what it's worth, steelbooks are hot items, very much in demand. Definitely have the best re-sale value, especially the exclusive ones. I do not care myself about the X-Men 1.5 steelbook, but I know it's going to be a collectible item since it's an exclusive and the print-run is probably not that high, so I'll always be able to unload it for something on my want list if I don't want it anymore.

Is there anybody here with the X-Men 3 steelbook case willing to sell it? I've been searching Craigslist and eBay and Yielded no results. I'm only looking to purchase the case, and will provide my standard WS case in exchange along with paymnt, but I will purchase it with the disc if necessary.

There is this member who gave the definitive information about the X3 dvd release:
