Is 'Firefly' a good blind buy for 19.99?
I noticed the complete series of Firefly is 19.99 at BB this week, and I am contemplating buying it. I know it didn't last long, but I've seen a lot of good TV get canceled way too early.
I'm not a sci-fi geek or anything, but I enjoy Star Wars and anything with good action and story. Would this be a good one for me?
Thanks!

Yes, I blind-bought it, every episode I watch I'm floored by the fact that it was cancelled. It's a wonderful show. After you've seen the whole series, watch SERENITY, the movie. You will not be disappointed. Except for the fact that there isn't any more.

Don't have time to read other people's responses, has anybody else said "yes"?

Okay, awesome, guys.
One question: I DO NOT like Star Trek or anything like that, which involves of a lot sci-fi/techy mumbo-jumbo that i don't care to understand.
I won't have this problem with Firefly will I?

I don't think watching the movie first will tell you if you would like the series. The movie is more sci-fi space stuff, while the series is more comedy/drama western stuff.

If you like sci-fi with a bit of a strange (but good) edge to it, it's worth picking up. I'm sure that you can sell it back for near the same price, or at least cheaper than it would be to rent all 4 discs (like I did three years ago.)
