Men in Black 2-Disc Deluxe Edition $5.99 @ Best Buy through June 16

With apologies to Speedy1961, thought this was worthy of a different thread.

Just returned from Best Buy checking out all the other great deals this week. There's the large display of $5.99 DVDs set up when you first come in the door. On the signage, there's a list of available titles and it includes Men in Black (DE). There wasn't any copies of it on the display, because I don't believe it was meant to be a part of this sale--in fact, it's part of another sale where you can pick it up for $9.99 with Ghost Rider (or something like that).

Upon checking out, the cashier rang it up as $9.99 and I walked her over to the sale display and showed it where it's listed as $5.99 and she had someone come over and key in the new price for me.

Although this might be YMMV, I would think this same deal would be at all Best Buys this week. $5.99 is a better price than amazon or the current 20% off sales going on.

Already have that edition of MiB.

Anyone know what other titles are at this price?

Maybe I should go check speedy's thread... justs four titles listed there, MiB not among them. So I still wonder what else is included...

Maybe you should consider yourself lucky they honored that price. I recently showed them their own shelf tag clearly pricing the two-disc Superman Returns at $9.99, but they refused to honor it.

Kinda odd... I went to bestbuy.com and found a list of the $5.99 titles

Best Buy $5.99 Titles
When you check that out, Men in Black is included on their list...but still at a price of $9.99!

Hmm... a lot of those titles are the same as the "Superbit" titles that were $9.99 around this time last year. Rather have the Superbits of those titles instead.

Anyone know if the DE has DTS? If not, I'll stick with the 1-disc DTS that I just bought recently at Walmart for 4.88...

I almost bought the 1-disc DTS there for $4.88 just for the audio, but then decided that my DD 5.1 version was good enough. I did however get the only OOP 2-disk LE that they had in the same $4.88 display. That too I later decided I didn't want so I put it up on ebay for what I paid, ended up getting almost $17 for it which was a nice surprise.

Forgot to check the copy I bought (don't have it with me). Amazon.com has the following:

Format: Anamorphic, Closed-captioned, Color, Dolby, DTS Surround Sound, Dubbed, DVD-Video, Full Screen, Subtitled, Widescreen, NTSC

I just looked at a Deluxe Edition yesterday and saw only DD 5.1 listed on the back.
