Can't wait! Not a huge fan of the artwork but it might change. They did a good job on the season one set (althrough I think some Music was changed...Grr..) Fox was kind with Earl in terms of Bonus features last DVD release and they look like they are continuing that, althrough nothing beats the alt. vr. of the pilot episode BF.
This season was really good and was the best season finale out of the 3 NBC comedies I watch (Earl, Scrubs & 30 Rock).

No mention of how much music will be replaced in it... I'll wait till then to decide if it's a must-buy or not...

(boy, it's a shame when it comes to that, but blame greed.)

Regarding the whole music issue ... obviously I would prefer that shows be made available for purchase in as close to broadcast versions as possible (I don't want commercials or promos taking up 1/3 of the screen, thanks). BUT ... IMO, a lot of the songs used on MNIE seem to be a bit lazy. I watched a bit of both shows last night and several times thought that the songs used weren't necessary and in fact detracted from the show. Kind of like Forrest Gump (a movie I originally kind of liked but now can't stand) where there are stretches where there's a different oldies top 40 song playing every couple of minutes ... it's overkill.

I'm on the fence with this one. I don't watch it, but bought season 1 and loved it... but still had no desire to catch season 2 on tv.

Season One is better than Two overall, but only because Season Two had a couple of blah episodes.. however, the good episodes from Season Two were generally better than Season One.

I'll get this. It's one of the few shows I DVR on a regular basis and I think it can be funny as hell. Season Two had a good ratio of hilarious-to-shitty episodes so it's worth it for me. Cover art is pretty damn lazy.

I noticed that Season 2 seemed designed in such a way to make replacing the music hard. A lot of instances where a popular song is playing, the characters are singing along or referring to it in some way.

Did anyone actually get a scratch and sniff card to go with the episode Get A Real Job, or was that meant to be a joke?

It's a Best Buy exclusive I believe. It should come at everystore in my opinion.

It was in TV Guide the week before the episode aired. I remember smelling the things in the store (I won't buy the abortion that TV Guide has become), and none of them smelled anything like what they should have.

Just got back from Target. The exclusive is a lenticular cover with the cast turning into their claymation counterparts as well as a poster inside the case. The lenticular cover comes off the case, like Family Guy's last week, and this is obviously nowhere near as cool as the flannel shirt package for Season 1.

Still, since it's no cheaper elsewhere, it's a decent pickup.

Oh...little chance of me getting it in the UK then...

Not that bothered really, but you would have though it would have been a fun thing to include in the DVD package.

Heh...reminds me of the original scratch and sniff cards for Polyester for the cinema release...wish I had kept one.

I'm watching the "Get A Real Job" episode now, and it prompted for the Laugh n' Sniff card that is supposedly in the DVD setbox. Of course, the DVD set didn't come with the card. It looks like the Best Buy exclusive was meant to be originally included with all sets.

That's how the episode aired originally(scratch and sniff card came with TV guide). I don't know why it wasn't included with all sets, would've made perfect sense.

Geez, that is really stupid that they show a disclaimer to use it at the beginning (and refer to getting out of your DVD box), have the prompts........but don't actually give the card to everyone. Thumbs down!!
