"Daily Variety" (The Magazine) swag...

I got a free year subscription to The Daily Variety awhile ago and from time to time I get some funky stuff (DVDs, calendars, bookmarks, posters, etc.).

Yesterday I got an iTunes card with a code for a free download of the Heroes season finale (used it).

Today I got a pair of DVDs with three eps each (since it's Emmy Season): Deserate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy.

The episodes are as follows...

Desperate Housewives: "It Takes Two", "Sweetheart, I Have to Confess", and "Bang."

Grey's Anatomy: "From a Whisper to a Scream", "Wishin' and Hopin'", and "Some Kind of Miracle."

I'm not a fan of either series, and since it says on the DVD that they can't be "loaned, sold, given away, or otherwise transferred without the express written permission" -- I guess I'm stuck with them.

Should I watch them? or just throw them away?

Someone want to raid my trash?

I get promotional stuff from FOX at my job. Some of it's kind of weird:
  • A toaster to promote the premiere of The Wedding Bells, which lasted what, 3 episodes?
  • A bottle of King of the Hill BBQ sauce to promote the season premiere.
  • A funky-looking Hell's Kitchen measuring spoon.
  • A bottle of O.C. perfume (that was a WTF moment when I got that).
As well as tons of DVDs (some of which double as coasters, like the first four O.C. episodes of the season).

Free stuff is good and all but I don't want pure shit clutering up the house.

Shred. Bad enough they sent crap like Grey's Anatomy to you without asking, but then they tell you that you're stuck with it? Isn't that like leaving a baby on someone's doorstep and telling them by reading the note left with it that they're now the legal gaurdian?

Scott27 - How was that BBQ sauce?

On Monday I got a DVD for "The Tudors" (episodes 107, 108, 109, and the Finale) and today I got more ABC DVDs:

Brothers and Sisters - "Northern Exposure", "Mistakes Were Made (Part II)", and "Valentine's Day Massacre."

Ugly Betty - "Pilot", "I'm Coming Out", and "Don't Ask, Don't Tell."

Haven't seen any of the before. Opinions?

Ugly Betty is a terrible, terrible show. In fact, it's SO terrible that you should send it to me so I can properly dispose of it..

Now thats way better.
Scrubs is the greatest show on TV period. Lost even through season 3 wasn't the best season of the show its still better than that horrible new Ugly Betty show, I can't believe that was named the #1 new show of the year by some critics.
