Dead of Night/Queen of Spades is an excellent double feature, and one of the best bargains out there for excellent-quality vintage British film. The moods and visual effects alone are worth the price of admission.
And Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead and Day of the Dead are essential horror purchases, it probably goes without saying.

and I was thinking about the sleepaway camp box, but it is only the 3 disc edition.
It might not make you feel better, but Best Buy was the only retailer that had the 4th disc, and I'm not sure if they still carry it with the 4th disc included.

Even still, unless you're a die-hard SC fan, the disc is useless. It's just 30 minutes of unused production work on the never completed 4th film. The quality is VHS grade and it mostly consists of several takes of about 3-5 scenes from the film. Really great extra for big fans of the series (as it was only rumored to have even really started production... for years there was a rumor a script hadn't even been completed, etc) but if you're going in blind or are more of a casual fan I'm not really sure it's worth the price hike to get it from Best Buy for that extra disc alone. :)

I'd like to think of myself as a huge Sleepaway Camp fan (cherised the films for years) and even I haven't watched the disc more than once.

5. Once you get the cash, cancel the future release DVD from your order, which will allow your order to go through, and your card to be charged.

Looks like this 'trick' may not work all the time. My purchase yesterday wasn't exactly like the circumstances above (I didn't order something with a future release date) but I placed my order with free shipping and noted the 'keep order together--ship in fewest number of packages' option. I just got a note today that Amazon shipped one of the DVDs and will do the others when they become available.

On a side note: I always use the free shipping at Amazon and have never had a shipping confirmation within 24 hours. Quick turnaround...at least on the 1 dvd.

You must be dealing with Anazom.com, the knockoff Amazon site. Their deals are exactly the same but, as you say, come with some shenanigans. Why, I even received an unused condom in place of the first disc of Buffy Season Two and they refused to refund my money because they said I got the better deal! Unfortunately for many of our dyslexic friends, they can shop nowhere else. But since you have the option to shop at Amazon, I encourage you to do so. Way better customer service. You'll be much happier.

Defiantly not market place sellers, I am aware of the difference.
Shrink-wrapped is always the first sign of a used DVD. And that has happened quite a bit in the past, usually they will have hints of fingerprints (rare occasions scratched). One time Amazon sent me a dvd set, it turned out to be used (fingerprints on all discs) I send it back and they send me another used one at which point customer service admitted a "problem" with that title but said the only thing I could do was return it for credit (no new dvd)

This time my copy of Bad Dreams arrived re-wrapped. It had obviously been opened b4 because there was still bits of the last wrapper stuck to the case (you know how Anchor Bay kinda binds the wrapper to the spine (which is annoying as fuck to scrape off)). Also there was a new bar code sticker stuck on the outside of dvd case, a minirip in the case from looks like a fingernail and there was little greasy spots inside the case. Although this time no scratches or prints, so I'll just be transferring to a new case rather than deal with amazon returns anymore.

Sorry to vent this is just one of my pet peeves, CH sent me a re-shrink-wrapped scratches and fingerprints dvd recently so this kinda aggravated the situation. CH just told me to throw it away and they would send me a new one, which was nice.

About 2 years ago, Universal's OOP Dracula inexplicably showed up on Amazon's site, not on their Marketplace, but sold directly by Amazon. I ordered it and discovered it was a re-shrinkwrapped disc that had been previously opened - the security sticker was slit.

My guess is that one of Amazon's distributors pulled a fast one on them (and me). So, it does happen, but it's not typical.

My order for The Mario Bava Collection and Dead of Night/Queen of Spades arrived yesterday.

I was impressed once again with the quality of Amazon's packaging.

Both sets were shipped in a sturdy box. Inside the box the DVDs had been placed on a thick piece of cardboard with plastic sealed around them so that they wouldn't shift around and get beat up during the journey (one of the things I've always tried to impress on my shipping employees in my own mail-order used book business is that the interior packaging is just as important as the exterior).

The fragile Bava Collection box arrived in pristine condition with nary a dent or ding anywhere.

After frustrating experiences with the useless, flimsy packaging used by FYE.com and BestBuy.com for fragile box sets, it's refreshing to have an online retailer who really seems to care if your purchase arrives in one piece.
