Huh? Very enjoyable movie that will please all turtle fans IMO. I'm going with the blu-ray and I can't wait. I've got the theatrical poster framed on my wall, which I think kicks the shit out of this 'kiddie friendly' home video art...they should have stuck with the theatrical artwork

I avoided seeing this film in theatres because the ads and trailers for it made it seem too "kid-centric". But if it is more than that, I'll be happy to consider a purchase if the extras are worthwhile. Loved the 80's (it was in the 80's, right?) cartoon.

I personally can't wait to pick this guy up. Saw it opening night and was thrilled with how good it was.

Well if you haven't seen this yet, it's decent. It's very kid friendly and feels very much so... but at the same time the movie is pretty dark at the same time and is good enough to keep a draw on old TMNT fans. It was a fun flick all in all. It wasn't great, but it was a very fitting return for the old franchise.

If you haven't seen it, give it a try. Even I was surprised at just how damn good it was, and I'm already a big fan-boy. They actually spent time developing the characters and giving them some depth. The fight scenes were amazing, and the last scene with the "Night Watcher" is still my favorite fight from any movie this year so far.

Just a quick note that the OP's link refers to Season 5 of the TMNT cartoon series, NOT the recent theatrical release. Perhaps a mod can alter the thread title to reduce confusion?

Yes, but if you read the last paragraph at that link, you'll see mention of the theatrical release.

Hahahaha, awesome. I'm glad the ACTUAL dvd is going with the poster art. However, if the lot of us savvy dvd snobs were taken in by what is obviously a marketing ploy meant to capitalize on the success of the movie, I hate to think of the number of parents sent out to the video store for birthday presents that will be duped.

Out of curiosity, what's this other dvd that you're referring to?

I haven't seen the film yet, but I can't (wait) to.
Which the OP mistook for the DVD release of the recent theatrical release, which is entirely understandable considering the font of the title and cgi-like cover, on which is no mention of "SEASON 5" or, "this is the cartoon show, not the movie you're looking for."

You have no idea how hard I debated working that into my first answer.
