Does anybody know the difference between MY LEFT FOOT and DOWN ALL THE DAYS ??

According to some sources, "Down All The Days" is an extended version of "My Left Foot," by Christie Brown.

However, some sources also say that "Down All The Days" is a fictional account.

Are these two books the same, or two completely different works?

I want to buy one or the other today.

I'm pretty sure they're two completely different books, but covering some of the same terrain. MLF was his memoir, from which he took material for his first novel, Down All The Days. Both are worth reading, but if you're going to pick one, I'd recommend My Left Foot.

And now, dammit, I've got that Pogues song going through my head...
