What Movies Are Destined For A SE, CE, Directors Cut Etc...

I just got done watching Apocalypto and can we say 2 Disc? My god, the only special features on it is a 25 minute "making of" and a 30 second deleted scene...a.nd that's IT. The entire documentary is all about how exotic the scenes and costume was and yet it's only 25 minutes.. I've never seen a movie that was so obviously gonne be made into an SE than this one. SO what are some movies that you've seen or have come out that it's pretty obvious that it's going to be an SE, CE etc? I know at the rate it's been going the last year, almost EVERY single movie will have some kind of SE made out of it eventually.

edit:...two more I thought of again was Letters From Iowa Jima & Flags of Our Father...which they just released in 2 discs today....

Probably The Zodiac, since all of Fincher's films except for the Game have gotten a deluxe treatment.

I'm hoping The Cable Guy, with its growing cult following and laundry list of bankable stars.

as for expanded/Director cuts of films:

I'd love to see the longer television cut of 'The Birdcage' with the R-rated scenes reinstated back in.

the expanded tv cuts of the first two Harry Potter movies.

Criterion to release Billie August's film 'The Best Intentions' in both theatrical form and complete mini series 6-hour (as they did with the Fanny & Alexander release)

Criterion to rerelease 'Kwaidan' with the longer cut of the film.

If they can do a 2-disc special edition of Grizzly any movie ever made is eligible for a 2-disc SE without exception.

There's an extended cut of "The Da Vinci Code" in other regions, so that'll probably be coming out to tie in with the theatrical release of "Angels & Demons" whenever that gets made.

I'm sure we all know that "X-Men: The Last Stand" has an SE in other regions, so we can probably expect it when the next X-Men related flick comes out.

"Casino Royale" (2006) was released in an uncut version in other countries (though the R1 edition is what was shown here in theaters).

There have been reports/rumors of Director's Cuts of "Troy" and "Batman Forever".

"Babel" was pretty light on extras the first time around.

I would love to see a directors cut of Batman Returns. I remember reading about it in a magazine(maybe WIzard circa. 8-10 years ago.) It was longer and one of the major plot points was that Schreck was the penguins brother. Plus there were other changes that were made because the studio was worried about little children in peril.

Terry Gilliam loves to differ on this...

which reminds me - I'd love to see a new SE of 'The Adventures of Baron Munchausen'

There is an extremely substantial like 180m documentary or something by the director (or it's titled Director's Diary) or something in other regions for Babel. Also Inarritu has recorded commentary for Amores Perros and claimed he had lots of extras for 21 Grams but nothing has come of it.

True Lies

There has been 1 release only, barebones with non anamorphic transfer,if you looks at Jim Cameron's movies,he has had several special editions/collector's edition with exteneded directors cuts all which i thought were better than the theatrical versions including Aliens,The Abyss, and Terminator 2.Also had special 3 & 4 disc versions of Titanic.

Phantom of the Paradise definitely needs a SE or something. Commentary would be great.

The only reason I would want to see a DC of Poseidon is if they actually added scenes that made characters out of these people rather than caricatures who are constantly in peril, running from one obstacle to the next.
