What's the most DVDs you've received/bought at once?
I'm sure we've done this subject before, but I couldn't figure what to search by, so here's a new one.
We had our baby shower this past Saturday, and one of my wife's friends gave us the complete Baby Einstein DVD collection for our small fry. That's 22 DVDs!!
I hate to brag, but this was just too cool not to share

Back in my prime buying days, I'd come home from some shopping trips with over 20 dvds. Now, usually just a couple at a time.

My friend went to St. Louis a couple of weeks ago (I'm from Russia). Surely I asked him to buy me some DVDs (to save on amazon shipping) and gave him my wish list. One thing I forgot to mention to him is the funds limit. And of course I thought he'd buy 3-5 films and that will be it. So he's calling me from the US and says: 'I bought you some 15-16 movies. It'll cost you about $300, so prepare the money when I'm back'. I was shocked, but said: 'OK, I'll be waiting'. So he returns home a week later, calls me and says: 'Well, I found about 10-13 more titles from your list'... Now it was time for me to get a heart attack. Certainly 30 DVDs in one day is a great thing, but I did not expect to spend so much at once

Back in when the Google $10 off $10 was working repeatedly there were a few days where I'd get 6 or 8 packages at once. It was great, it was just like Christmas.
Most I've ever bought at once in a store was 11. It was the Best Buy BOGO glitch from earlier this year on the Warner Special Editions. I bought 10 of them plus 1 other movie.

last aug. on my birthday (my Bday is aug.10th) my aunt bought me 31 DVD's. I buy DVD's every week, usually about 2 or 3 approx. but my Aunt always seems to find ones I can never find or ones I havn't got yet.
Just about a month ago I bought Seasons 2-8 of Cheers and 5 seasons M*A*S*H in one day (Couldn't find all the M*A*S*H in the same area of town, got them all now though).
Basically on X-mas and on my Bday I get the most DVD's in one day.

Back in 2000 in my earlier days of buying the format and before many titles were readily available EVERYWHERE, I was on a trip to Orlando, FL and bought about 17 DVDs. Great viewing when I returned home.

My biggest orders are always during the DD 20% sales, both summer and winter sales. The most I've bought during a single shopping session is 9 DVDs/DVD sets.

During the DD(D) sale in November 2004, I ordered 75 DVDs, including some boxed sets (several orders). Probably 90% of them arrived at once. That got a lot of buying impulse out of my system; I've bought fewer than 20 DVDs in the 30 months since.

About 3 years ago someone in my old neighborhood was selling off a DVD collection of someone who had recently passed away. I picked up about 75-80 DVDs. 25 of them were sealed Criterions (including then-OOP 400 Blows), Hitchcock CE's, and TV-on-DVDs, all of which I paid $2/each for; those I kept. The other 50 I purchased at $1.50 each with the sole intention of reselling on eBay, which I wound up getting about $200 for, thus making the other 25 free and leaving me with $50-odd in profit. It was a nice wekeend.

My biggest one order haul happened way back in August 1999 when some internet startup (I think it was called checkout.com) launched their site with cheap prices and a 30% off coupon to boot. Most discs were between $6 and $9 which was pretty good during those days of $34.99 MSRPs. I must have bought about 50 DVDs.
