Donald Trump quits "The Apprentice"
From IMDB:
Trump Quits 'The Apprentice'
Property tycoon Donald Trump has quit his reality TV show The Apprentice after the program was left off of NBC's new primetime schedule. Trump was reportedly left fuming last week after the network's announcement, and has decided to pull The Apprentice altogether. The 60-year-old issued a statement on Friday saying he was "moving on" from the corporate-themed show to work on "a major new TV venture," but refused to reveal further details. The Apprentice debuted on American television in 2004 with 21 million viewers, but viewing figures dropped significantly in the five seasons which followed. The format of The Apprentice has since been replicated in a number of countries around the world, including the U.K., South Africa and Brazil.
I remember reading Mark Burnett say that if NBC didn't pick the show up, he was planning on shopping it to different networks, but maybe not now.

i thought you're never supposed to quit in life and quitters are losers and it's so horrible that trump spent 10 minutes berating someone for quitting when she knew she was going to be fired...

Yeah, I'd quit too.
Yeah, I'd quit too.
And yeah, Survivor and Amazing Race double up their seasons, but there's more you can do to shake up the formula on those shows. You can really only shake up the formula to Apprentice so much before you lose focus on what the show is about (as they did with the changes last season).

Bottom line, his mud slinging with Rosie showed the true colors of this dirtbag. I enjoyed his show and watched every season until this last. His trash talking turned me off and I suspect I was not alone. He lost whatever charm and goodwill I thought he had previous to his attacks on Rosie.
SNL summed it yup best with there Parody, he just did not let up on Rosie.
He became a bad carcicature of himself and his show became unwatcheable becuase of it.

Can't say I'm disappointed. While I enjoyed bits of last season, it was pretty awful compared to the first few installments. The show just never recovered from losing George and Carolyn (the real stars of the Apprentice), the move to L.A., Trump's increasing jackassedness, and a crop of really weak contestants.

Yeah, i'm not defending Rosie, but Trump came off looking like a school bully. After it was said and done, he just KEPT ON, prodding her, making fun of her weight and her looks. Wow, real creative Donald. Calling her fat! Rosie, she took part in it all for about a minute and quickly realized "This guy is a dope, i'm not gonna waste my time on him, i'll just let him continue and look bad", and that is exactly what happened.

I watched every season.
I'll give Trump credit for being able to shill his products on primetime TV.
He has a massive ego and that's what made The Apprentice great. Anybody else remember when he fired Andy for basically not yelling back like the other contestants? LOL

NBC was hands-down my favorite network this year. They renewed the struggling in the ratings Scrubs & 30 Rock and they cancelled this garbage.

So he "quit", but waited until NBC announced that they didn't want him anymore?
I'm sure he'll find some new way to feed his ego and keep his hair in place.

I'd love to see Richard Branson or Bill Gates in Donald's role. Imagine the tasks Branson's group would have to complete: jumping out of airplanes, mountaineering, free diving...all sorts of survival/man-versus-the-elements type shit.

Branson's show was awful. I actually watched the entire series and it was a rip-off of The Amazing Race/Apprentice.
