Unable to send Private Messages

I recently tried to send a PM to another member, and I can't do it. I get this message:

Living Dead, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

So, am I doing something wrong? I checked my User Preferences and didn't see anything about turning PM's on or off.

I'm sure this is really simple, but can anyone help someone to slow to figure it out?

Well then, I guess that would explain the problem!
