Yes! Brubaker's Captain America Omnibus!
Just read on the Masterworks forum that there might be a Ed Brubaker Captain America omnibus. This would make me a happy, happy man. I love these massive books and I've held back from getting any of Brubaker's run in trade or hardcover. I'm hoping this happens. Yeeee haw.

I will be buying the shit out of this, one of my favorite comic book runs I've ever read. HCs are my favorite, especially big-ass weapon sized ones. I never picked up the Marvel Zombies HC & I'm not getting the sequel out now, in hopes of a Marvel Zombies Omnibus that would collected all 3 minis + the UFF issues.
I soooo wish Marvel would do a Nextwave Omnibus instead of those shitty little hardcovers they do (I forgot then name of them).

I though the Omnibus was for the classics (i.e. 20 years or older comics)? Hey, I ain't complaining, just wondering. I'll pick this baby up if and when it comes out. Good thing I didn't collect the trades.

there's no thinking involved in that conclusion. They reprinted cap #25 how many times? they made a whole fallen sons book for the fall out.

Still, most of what shows up on Amazon is legit. I just wouldn't interpret an Amazon listing as being proof that something is coming -- just evidence that it might be.
Glad the Brubaker Omnibus is for real. I probably won't pick it up -- I have all the trades, and while I like Brubaker's Cap, it's not worth a double dip for me. But if I hadn't already bought the trades, I would definitely be picking up the Omnibus.

It's funny that I'm all jazzed up about this book because just last night I put my Fantastic Four Omnibus on eBay, and I plan to do the same for my Spidey and Uncanny X-Men. Don't get me wrong, I love these huge books, but they are just too big. Plus, I've learned that 30 issues is a lot of issues to hold my attention (I doubt this will be the case with modern stories).

That's the one I didn't get. Never liked the Surfer. Of course, I've never read his books, but whatever.

There are sellers pre-selling the Captain America Omnibus on Ebay...Be careful buying it on Ebay this soon, it will be 3 months until the seller delivers it. If he happens to not send it to you it will be near impossible to get a refund from Paypal (if you pay with Paypal). It is against Ebay rules to sell an item 3 months in advance, their rule is the item must ship within 30 days....BE CAREFUL!

Does DCBS charge you now, or when the item ships?

Its usually about a month or so after you order, since its advance.
