C&C xbox
the interface is really confusing me.
I select all the units with the left-trigger then A button to move them. but alot of times they don't move. especially the units in the back. the left-trigger A to attack also does not seem to work. what am i doing wrong?
also, is there a way to select all of a particular unit or cycle thru all your different units?
the left-trigger seems to select all your units, not the units currently on your screen. is there a way to select only the units on your screen?
coming from a PC gamer background, this is a big adjustment for rts on consoles.

Left trigger does only select the units on the screen. Start putting them into groups so you can select any particular group you want to move or attack. It shows you how to do it in the tutorial.

If I remember correctly:
Left trigger + A - Selects all units on screen
Left trigger + hitting A twice - Selects all available units
Right bumper + A - Performing this action on a unit selects all units of that type on screen
Right bumber + hitting A twice - Same as above, but selects all units of that type on screen and off
If you're holding the left trigger + A to attack, then all you're doing is selecting all of your units on screen. Hit A (without the left trigger) over a spot to move your troops or have them attack an enemy, or hit A twice to have your units attack everything along the way as they move to the newly designated position.

I love how PC gamers can't handle console controls. Ain't ya'll supposed be smarter than the console lemmings and with Hardcore Player Skillz?

Has anyone been able to get past the croatia mission for the GDI campaign? I've tried it close to 10 times and I keep getting my ass kicked.

First you need to hold out till the timer runs out.
then, what I did was build a whole bunch of predator tanks and park them on the north and east entrances.
You will need about 4 of them for each entrance.
then I bring any army and wipe out the base to the south-east before bringing in the mcv.

No, wipe out the base to the NE, that is where are the vehicles are coming at your from. on the South and West make your rifelman dig in and turn on the turrets, you can then pretty much ignore coming your way from that side then, so you can focus on taking out the NE base.

What do you use to take out the laser turrets they have? I keep trying to attack the power source but they repair them quicker than I can destroy them.

I took the base out in 2 waves. Use Tanks and APC filled with troops. Once you start moving your army start building up your second wave. I would use like 5 tanks and 5 apcs with other troops scattered in there.

I have an option to build a crane. Is that it?
if not, what is a crane for? it just says to increase your production queue.
sounds useless to me. since i never fill up my queue

Don't select any building. Press the right trigger to bring up the tabs. It'll be the tab on the bottom labeled Support.

need some help on the Nod mission "Operation Stiletto". I'm having a tough time with this mission. I've been able to capture some of the buildings but the turrets are killing me. Anything I create out of the war factory or barracks gets killed immediately by the turrets. I tried capturing a few power plants but it did not shut down the turrets. Anybody get pass this mission?
Also the faq mentioned something about a "Planning mode"? Does the xbox version have this feature?

I still can't get by the Croatia mission even on easy. It's ridiculous.
