Could it be...Yet Another PRINCESS BRIDE edition?

Press release:

Princess Bride Crown Jewel of Licensing Initiative

The Princess Bride will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a licensing program befitting a queen. Act III Licensing plans a variety of programs, including exposure at Steve & Barry’s with T-shirts and loungewear for men and women in fall. Fox Home Entertainment will also come to market with a special-edition DVD to hit stores this fall. Details surrounding the release and marketing plans will be revealed soon. Other new licensees include: NECA for figures, novelty gifts, accessories and stationery; Fortune Fashions for T-shirts to hit the mid-tier and mass market; Worldwide Biggies for an action-adventure animated casual game and a broadband-connected game to be teased on the DVD and available for download across all online game sites; and MeadWestvaco for calendars. Licensees are currently being sought for selected accessories, health and beauty, mobile content, toys and games, and plush.
Is this the third or the fourth?

Fourth... I won't be getting it, I only got the Pirate edition because I found it for $6 at a local dvd shop. I had the SE before it as well.

Probably will be release with the new fancy steelbook case. And a copy/paste of the already available extras.

I am currently on my third version (Dread Pirate). The next time I buy this film will be Blu-Ray, which I hope was held back to take advantage of this anniversary.

Inconceivable! Actually it is conceivable but it shouldn't be. I've owned all editions so far but I won't be upgrading again.

I think the only thing that could convince me to double dip would be an edition without the narration.

Fifth, if you count the last release twice (which I think you should).

They can suck me. I had the first one, then I replaced it with the SE.
That is as far as I am willing to bend over for them.

C'mon, guys. This is now controlled by Fox so like dx23 said it's probably just another one of their steelbook reissues.

I figure that if I haven't bought it yet, and I really do like the movie, I never will.

Yikes. I like this movie, but the first SE years ago was good enough for me.

I love this movie... but these pointless reissues are getting tiring. Especially now that HD is a reality.

Seems like a cheesy stunt to squeeze every last drop before the eventual HD release (which, of course, will be bare-bones... requiring an HD double-dip, etc.)

Anyone have a full comparison of the differences in the 4/5 versions?

If I recall, the first upgrade lost absolutely nothing from the first release, except for a 4 page insert.

I have to agree with whoever said Blu Ray was their next step. No way I buy a DVD of this. It will be HD or nothing.

No HD = No Sale!

Is this the catchphrase of the future?

It is for many of us. This movie isn't a 100% must have in HD for me, but I will agree that double dips on standard DVD have little appeal to me anymore.

I never got the last reissue of this (dread pirate or whatever its called) so perhaps I'll get this when it comes out, especially if it has stuff my current SE doesn't or it's cheap.

I've got the first SE they put out and that's the only version I need. This business is ridiculous.
