I have every SP season on DVD so far and 10 on iTunes. I'll probably get it on DVD too since I'm a South Park sucker.
August is going to be a very expensive month!

Well, looks like this announcement is super serial!

I was worried about the long-awaited "Upright Citizens Brigade" season 2 being quickly delayed after it was finally announced but when "South Park" was delayed right along with it I breathed a sign of relief.
It's not like this isn't gonna come out.
I'd rather have this sooner rather than later but the last August release date sorta puzzled me.
The recent "Spring" releases have made perfect sense: Season 9 came out on DVD the day before run 1 of Season 11 began to air. Season 8, on the other hand, came out on August 29, a full 5 weeks before run 2 of season 10 aired. Similarly, releasing Season 10 on August 28th would have put a space of several weeks between the DVD release and the new run of shows.
Now I would personally love to go to the store right now and buy Season 10 (it's the only complete season unavailable on DVD) and I'd love to be able to go to the store the day after Season 11 wraps up and buy it on DVD but obviously (aside from the obvious prep time for a DVD release) there's also the "marketing strategy" point and it's obvious to me that the best time to release a "South Park" season on DVD is the day before the new episodes start airing. It's simply the most "high profile" time for the DVD's to come out.
Last year run 2 started on October 4th so based on that (which is uncertain considering run 2 of Season 9 started on October 18th) we can speculate that run 2 of Season 11 will begin on October 3rd (Wikipedia lists it as the next airdate but I don't know if that's confirmed or if the contributer just arrived at that date the same way I did) and if Paramount wants to release Season 10 on DVD to cash in on that I think an October 2nd release date makes every good business sense.
That said, if I'm wrong and they put it out earlier I certainly won't be complaining. But yeah, it's gonna come out around that time so there's no point in worrying.
