Pan's Labyrinth- Best Price, Exclusives?

What is the best price on Pan's Labyrinth 2-disc edition? Are any stores offering exclusives such as bonus discs?

Borders in-store has an extra 16-page booklet. Not sure on what price they will be charging.

Should be 22.99 if I'm not mistaken.
Our WB 2 disc price tends to be the same as everyone else's on Tuesday (it IS a sale price though, not a list price).

Don't quote me though; I haven't looked ahead to find out for sure.

see i just like the Amazon.uk and R1 single disc cover art better than the R1 2-disc's. it is more true to the mystique and fascination of the "fairy tale". anyone else?

2-Disc:

vs.
1-Disc

Pretty common opinion.
I think with the fancy shmancy embossed and foil type slipsleeve the 2 disc works just fine though.
Plus I love the design of the faun.

Though I'd like them to stop referring to him as "Pan"...because it makes absolutely no sense. Just because he was a god who happened to RESEMBLE a faun...

(fascinating extras on the 2 disc incidentally. Guillermo mentions how they very specifically designed it for 1.85:1)

Isn't the 1-disc the same as the poster art in the US?

The Korean R3 and French R2 book versions have the better packaging.

But it looks like the best version of the movie is the R1 because of the DTS-ES track.

I've got someone in Canada picking up the Futureshop version & my fiancee is going to pickup the Borders exclusive today. I have the r3 already, but it's extras aren't subbed in english. I'm not sure which version I'm going to end up opening to watch though.

I wonder if the Futureshop cover is a steelbook, or just a slipcase/ insert.

Is the Futureshop Steelbook officially half in French now that people might have it in-hand?

It's not a steel book. I don't have it yet but I've seen photos of one. It's just a black slip cover, wether the cover underneath is the same or not I have no clue.

Has anyone picked up the Borders set yet? How much are they selling it for, and how is the bonus?

It was $22.99, and the bonus is cool, but nothing spectacular. I love the movie and went out of my way to get something extra with it, and if you're also really into the film then I suppose I suggest that you do the same, but really it's just a regular-sized insert. It's basically just what should have been in there anyway. So if you're anal about having an insert, go to Borders. If not, it's probably not worth it.

The Two-Disc Version is 20.49 at Costco. I didn't see any single disc version.

Dare I Say "Columbia House, 5ish average price per account"
or it is the weekly Bonus DVD at freedvd4me.com if you don't mind a little phone hassel, canceling accounts and what not

I believe the subtitles are optional on the disc. Didn't check, since I don't know Spanish well enough. Silly reason to skip a dvd.

At FYE B&M, the 2 disc sells for $26.99 but there is a $7 rebate PLUS if you have the backstage pass, that's another 10% off so:

26.99 - 2.70 - 7.00 = 17.29

$15.98 shipped for the 2-Disc Edition from www.familyvideo.com

($19.99 - $5 coupon code + $0.99 shipping)

Use code NEWMEM5F (For new members/email addresses only).

The 1-disc edition is $12.98 shipped.

I guess they weren't expecting much in terms of sales at our local Best Buy, the store was completely cleaned out of the movie, and almost all copies of The Fountain were gone as well.
