The Doors: 15th Anniversary Edition $6.99 regular price at Target (YMMV)
This is the new regular price I guess. The regular yellow shelf tag and all the copies were labeled $6.99.
I got rid of my old one a few months ago, so I decided to snag this one.

i've been waiting for this cheap because of the three doco's on disc 2 alone. the review says it all:
http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=25509
i couldn't find it on the shelf and had to ask.
the clerk said it's listed as "discontinued" when scanned (he had a master book of upc's)- but there was still a "bin" listed for it in the back and it looked like they had in store stock- he looked in the back and found it. he said it scanned $6.99 and it rang up for $6.99.
thanks snowmaker!

One word of warning about this DVD.
Mine had the security stickers on all 3 sides, and they used the adhesive that does not like to come off. I ended up stretching/tearing the plastic a bit near the top on the back. Luckily I was able to get the cover insert pulled down from the top without the sticker ripping off the top edge of the artwork.

mine came off clean as a whistle but mine also looked really new- i've noticed (from opening way too many dvd cases) that newly packaged discs seem to have less problematic security stickers...they longer they sit to "cure" the worse they are to get off. i hate when they are impossible to get off cleanly! you can usually tell from the first one (if there's 3) what you're in for with the remainder.

I use a razor down the open side and bottom of all my DVDs. I like keeping the top sticker (with the title) and in fact have them absolutely covering the very desk I'm typing at. Usually when you've got an edge to pull on (as you do when you split those stickers in the middle) they come off a little cleaner. And if you DO get residue (I hate the ones that stretch the case, too)---just rapidly stick and re-stick the sticker you just took off to the residue. It takes a bit of time and patience, but it will usually pick up and pull off all the residue.
(if you don't think I'm crazy yet, all of the shrink wrap from my DVDs starting around august last year is in a huge ball, stuck together only with the "SECURITY DEVICE ENCLOSED" and price stickers from my DVDs. Thus the razor--I can keep the wrapping in one even piece when I stick it on. And I'm not compelled--I swear!--I just find it amusing).
...uh, now that I've revealed my deep dark disturbing secrets, I at least hope someone has gained some useful knowledge from that.

I didn't plan on buying this as I was content with the original 2 disc set. I saw it last night for $6.99 and couldn't resist. I watched a little bit of it and it's definitely worth an upgrade for the sound and picture alone not to mention extra docs about Morrison.

But I don't save it afterwards.
You don't pee into jars, do you?

i also find if you rip it off a certain direction the glue quite often comes off easier
but,
when this fails and i've got a real big mess that no amount of re-stickin' and rippin' will help...
i remove artwork and disc...
and break out the modern citrus wonder GOO GONE and CAREFULLY apply with cotton swab to remove goop remainder

This is my only real oddity.
...Well. That isn't true. But of this obsessive compulsive nature.
(not my only packrat type habit though :S)

I checked Best Buy's website out of curiosity, and noticed they have the older version (from Artisan) on sale this week for $7.99. The newer version, which is stickered at $14.99, rang up at $9.99. So for $2 more, you can obtain the anamorphic version. Just an FYI to those who couldn't find it at Target...
