Supernatural -- "All Hell Breaks Loose (Part 1)" --05/10/07

"All Hell Breaks Loose (Part 1)"
Spoiler:
Sam is abducted by the Yellow-Eyed Demon. He finds himself in a ghost town with other children who have special abilities. They learn the Demon has brought them together to initiate his endgame: an all-out war against the human race. In an effort to encourage Sam to fight, the Demon shows him what really happened to one of his parents. Dean enlists Bobby's help to find Sam before the battle begins, but he arrives too late.

I thought the first half was a bit disappointing, but then it got going pretty good in the second half.

Sammy can't be dead (can he?), so what's in store for next week?

The Watch with Kristen site at E! stated that Supernatural had been in danger of cancellation earlier in the season, but the execs were apparently happy with the recent ratings and that renewal was likely. So I'm hopeful that Sam will come back some way or another.

There are so many signs that it will be back. I think I read reruns will be on thursdays and Sunday this summer, there is a Supernatural Origins comic book out now, the retention rate from Smallville is outstanding, and various other promotions for the show that the CW has been running.

The first part was okay and Ava's evil turn could be seen a mile away however, from that short scene with Sam's mom, it was interesting that the Mom knew the yellow eyed demon. Could it be that the demon and not Daddy Winchester might be Sam's real father? It's a stretch but you never know.

Can't wait for next week!

The CW is really good about keeping their episodes online. Go to cwtv.com and chose to watch an episode. This one should be up until Friday. With my 9pm Thursdays jam packed, I had to watch 3-4 episodes that way myself. Fortunately the online presentation is a pretty decent viewing size so it wasn't as bad as it could have been!
