The Wire, Season 1- 24.99 at Best Buy
Hey guys, newbie here (first post).
Anyway, just wanted to let everyone know my local Best Buy (Snellville, GA) had Season 1 of The Wire for 24.99 Sunday. It was not listed in the flier, nor was it recognized by the computers when they scanned it. However, they had printed labels in the HBO section for The Wire and other seasons of other shows on HBO that were on sale. I showed them the sign, and rang it up for 24.99. Awesome deal, I think.
Anyway, just keep a heads up this week if you're in Best Buy. I thought the price was pretty good. It was regularly 54.99.
Thanks,
-Stephen

My Best Buy had the same thing. I thought they might have forgotten to take the sales card down (it was on sale for 24.99 a few weeks ago) but it listed 5/12 as the end date.
It's probably YMMV, since it's not listed at that price on Best Buy's website, but definitely worth checking out if you haven't seen the show; one of the best blind buys I've ever made.

Used to denote an instance where a good deal may not be widely available or may only be a product of an individual location of a chain.
By the way, I saw The Wire: S1 at Sam's Club the other day for $22.99.

edit to add: it looks like the Warner Brothers Store is reflecting the price drop on Season 3. With the current 20% off code (see WB Store thread), Seasons 2 and 3 can be had for $38 each plus shipping (free shipping if you buy both since shipping is free on orders of $60 or more)

All other retailers still have the MSRP at $99.99, but I would assume they will see a drop soon, as well.

What great timing! I just got back from Vegas with some extra cash, and season 2-3 of the Wire are at the top of my list. $82 shipped is the best price I have seen. I finished season one a couple weeks ago, and I agree that it is an awesome show.
Thanks for clueing me in about the WB deal!

Anyway, I received my seasons yesterday via UPS. That was really fast! I guess it helps they are only like 2 hrs away.
