Anyone see this out and about or did it get pushed back?

Check BestBuy.com and none of them, according to the site, are available in the state of Oregon...

Wal-Mart had it. $14.88.

I picked it up. I've browsed over it a little bit as I don't have the time this week to watch it. The new "extended version" runs at 146 minutes (38 minutes longer than the original theatrical cut) and it looks like they've added stuff all over the place.

I found it a bit odd that none of the stores had the two Tom Hanks DVDs in their ads.

That kind of annoys me. I placed my order yesterday in the morning, but it shows as just shipping today. And I used 2 day shipping.

WTF??? I got this today for $9.99 at Costco but the slip case says "Dolby Surround 5.0". No DTS, no .1...I pop the disc in and true enough, that's all there is! No commentary, nothing! Disc 2 looked ok though. Did Costco get a different version than everybody else's, or is this a major goof?

what's odd about the packaging is that I don't even see a running time for the extended cut... all the back denotes is 108min.

Can anybody else confirm the audio specs and missing commentary on this release?

Audio is the same 5.0 (English) found on the 2001 release, with 2.0 dubs in French and Spanish. No commentary and rather fluffy extras.

But, it does include both cuts of the film.

I finally found it @ Fry's in Burbank and I am glad I searched for it.

The extended cut is totally great...almost as good as the long version of Almost Famous (almost). All of the added scenes are great and make the movie more of a Drama, than a comedy (although it is still funny though...if that makes sense).

The extras are pretty good, not great but better than most.

Verdict - I like the long version better than the original. It now just into my top 10 of all time.
