MTV's The State on iTunes! Finally!

iTunes has the first season, 5 episodes of MTV's The State up for download! There are 5 episodes and it is $10 for all 5. Appareantly some of the songs heard when the show originally aired have been replaced.

If I wasn't at work I would be downloading them already. Now we just need the DVD (of the whole series, not just the first season).

I searched to see if this was posted before, but I didn't find anything. If it has been posted before then Mods feel free to close or delete this thread.

I think these have been available for a while, I remember posting, with great enthusiasm, when I found out they were available on the Xbox Marketplace for download a while back. Somebody responded they were available on iTunes (at least I think it was iTunes).

Makes sense though, considering the cast has been in a lot lately (Reno 911, The TEN, and Diggers).

Yeah, they've been there since September of last year. Here's the DVD hoping thread: http://forum.dvdtalk.com/showthread.php?t=291587&page=4

I seriously don't know why this isn't on DVD yet. Does anyone know if the iTunes (or XBLM) versions have all the original music?

I'm torn, I'd buy them on both, but I really should consider one or the other "off limits".

I watched the 5 available episodes this morning. Man that was a great show! Even with the wrong music over certain parts of it, they are still funny as ever.

I know that they are working on the DVDs, but for the longest time there were licensing issues... back in the day MTV would put whatever music they wanted as a show's soundtrack, but when they try to sell those shows on DVD then the artists always want their cut. I guess the iTunes/XBox versions get around that by using different music... I don't know if the DVDs are still on hold due to trying to get the proper rights, or perhaps they are trying to double dip in the sales. I just want more episodes than just the 5 available!

Its kind of like when they tried to syndicated Road Rules on network channels, the entire episodes were awkwardly silent due to lack of music.
