I have just Panzer Dragoon Saga #20 on the list. Shocked to see that the #1 is 1990 Nintendo World Championships Gold Edition for NES. Only 26 copies were every made and can fetch for around $10,000.
I have the Honorable Mentions.
Sega Saturn
Guardian Heroes
Dragon Force
PS1
Tactics Orge
SNES : Not really rare but their high prices are due to demand.
Lufia
Final Fantasy II and III
Breath of Fire Series ( I only have the first one)

I have Panzer Dragoon Saga. I had FFIII for the SNES but sold it.
I'm surprised John Madden Football '93 Championship Edition for the Sega Genesis isn't on the list but then it was available for rental so there may have been a lot manufactured.

I have a few of the honorable mentions but none of the top 20. I'm surprised Rez wasn't on there anywhere or Dracula X for Saturn.

I bought an Atari 2600 for my wife about 4 years ago that came with 130 games or so. I'm going to have to go through them to see if any are actually rare and valuable.

DVD Talk Platinum Edition
I had and sold Panzer Dragoon and Dragon Force (played through both of them like 5 times and got bored with them)
Still have and play Guardian Heroes. Surprised some of the games from the latter part of Saturn's life aren't honorable mentions like Shining Force 3 Platinum (which I don't have and won't ever get until I can learn Japanese)
A random kind of rare one I have is Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter for the Saturn. There was a bonus joke character in that one who wasn't supposed to be seen stateside. When people imported it, that angered Marvel and they caused an embargo to be placed on the game, limiting availability here. Although, I'd imagine it's pretty plentiful in Japan

Ok, I'll bite, who was the joke character that got Marvel upset?

Isn't using prize giveaway games a little misleading? I would expect them to be rare.
Only one I had was Tactics Ogre, and I sold it for like five times more than I paid for it.
I had a copy of Kartia with a cover I've never seen again, it had a gloved hand holding cards.

I thought maybe Suikoden II should have been on the honorable mention. Konami didn't produced many copies of this fantastic RPG and going up in value. I saw one selling for over $300.

Back in the SNES days, I had every damn enix and square RPG...sold all of them to fund my house purchase (part of the downpayment, at least). The one I'm surprised isn't listed is Ninja Gaiden Trilogy for the SNES. That game was rare the friggin' day it came out. I've got one sitting here that I found brand new at a KB Toys for $5 years back...no box, but perfect cart and instructions. I worked at EB at the time, and before that at a used game store. I remember when it came out, we couldn't even order the damn thing new...but working at game stores, I had all the rare shit all the time.
