i just recently got the xbox 360, and love the way god of war plays
any game that has similar game play as god of war

There aren't any action games like that for the Xbox360 currently, but there are some that are being made. Devil May Cry 4 and Too Human.

DMC4 should be out by the end of the year. Too Human has been in development almost as long as Duke Nukem Forever, but unlike Duke, the developers have been showing off a lot of gameplay videos lately, so it *should* be close to done.

Also, if you have not played Ninja Gaiden on the Xbox, definitely get it. It is backward compatible on the 360. A word of warning though, Ninja Gaiden is much much MUCH more difficult than God of War. If you are just a casual action game fan or are a button masher, you might want to steer clear of Ninja Gaiden. If you love action games, then you will love Ninja Gaiden, as it is one of the best.

I second Ninja Gaiden Black. It is better than GoW IMO. Not as "epic" feel, but the fighting engine is more intimate (like a fighting game), less on combo, more on survival and pulling off incredible looking moves.

I third Ninja Gaiden Black, and want to point out that the 360 upsclales it to play in HD and it look amazing - as good as some mid-tier 360 games. And if you do die over and over, an easier difficulty setting (ninja-dog mode) will become available.

And do keep an eye out for Too Human, as everything I've seen of it reeks of God of War.

Anyone mentioned Ninja Gaiden: Black?

Oh. Well, the Prince of Persia series will probably satiate the need for a fast-paced sword slinger, too.

Yeah Prince of Persia is good too, although it is not a hardcore action game. It is a half platformer/half action game mix. Only Sands of Time is backward compatible too.
