yep..thats the address I normally get but here is the one i received just a week or two ago..
notice the zip is not for Itasca IL ..rather its for a town in IL called Ottawa..which is nowhere near Itasca ..and the box number is different too!
Please send your shipment of used discs to:
DVD Planet
Attn: QuoteMachine Shipment
PO BOX 1346
Itasca, IL 61350-6346
hopefully Mark will see this thread and let me know where my box full of used DVD's are going..Im so tired of typos and mistakes and such on their website..
DVD Empire is starting to buy used dvd's now as well ..may ahve to go with them if this box ends up in postal oblivion

"computer problem" ?
Fuck that.
I sent a box out last week to the new address... Of course, it's sitting in limbo somewhere according to the DC. Nice.

I got the same faulty adress as you. Boy am I glad I just happened to glance by this thread today because I was literally printing the packing slip and getting ready to head the the post office.
Just out of curiosity, how the hell do you receiver credit? Does it credit you're seller ID? I don't see any place at all where I can log in with that ID unless I'm selling stuff so how do I receiver the credit towards a purchase?

This is ridiculous! I am in the same boat. Sent out a large box of dvds last week. My guess is it will be sent back. Of course I'll have to pay to ship it again. How do they mess up the address in their standard script email that gets sent every time you create an order to ship to them?

Your dvds will not be sent back and we are moving them from one site to the warehouse. It was simply a mistake I made when we were updating the customer service address. The address has been fixed in the system and the problem has been addressed.
You will receive an e-mail when the warehouse processes the quote and the credit will be ready for use on the account matching the e-mail address you put on the quote.
I am very sorry for the mistake I made. It was very simply a misunderstanding by me.
BTW This thread was started today and I did fix it within a few minutes of the thread.

i started the thread this morning..if you did fix it within minutes then why wait until 3:00 to respond?
I also sent an email to you asking you about this last night when i noticed it and no response..
and unlike you say the post office WILL return them seeing as there is an Ottawa IL zip code with an Itasca address..they are the ones that pointed it out to me to begin with
and just an fyi..that wrong address was on a quote i submitted last week so thats 7 days of people getting the wrong address on thier quotes thus lots of dvds that WILL get dvd's returned and that is per my post office..im not assuming anything
sorry if i have lost patience with all this but it is what it is..another trip back to the PO sinc ethey were able tocatch my package before it left

Mark - I have no doubt that DVDPlanet will "fix" this, I love your site, order often and have nothing bad to say about DVDPlanet. As far as I'm concerned you're top notch.
That said... I'm not sure that I follow? Where exactly is that address that I - and (many) others I'm sure - sent the last batch of DVDs to? I just checked my PO receipt and yup, the zip is Ottawa. Does DVDPlanet have a PO box 1346 in Ottawa? If not, PO Box 1346 just got an early Christmas.
Just wondering if I need to contact my local PO to try and straighten this out or if in fact that PO Box belongs to DVDPlanet.
As Deke said those quotes were submitted last week... But, I shipped on the 23rd and got my quote on the Friday prior, 4/20. So that's 10 days, at least, that you're looking at there.

We have a post office box in Ottawa for the customer service which is based there. We have received a lot of these packages and have already moved them according to what I have been told. If your package is returned, I will be happy to reimburse the shipping you had to double pay.
As for not answering this thread within minutes, I apologize. As you can imagine I do not spend all day on DVD Talk looking for postings about DVD Planet. I was told about this after I had already changed the address on the quotes. As soon as I heard I checked into it and responded.
I want to make it clear this was MY MISTAKE. I can assure all of you that we do not intentionally make mistakes or try to make things hard on customers. We have absolutely nothing to gain and a lot to lose. All I can say again is I am very sorry that I made a mistake. I simply misunderstood an e-mail I received from someone inside the company.

Okey dokey, no worries here... Just wanted to make sure that I didn't need to contact the PO and all that. Like I said, as far as I'm concerned DVDPlanet is top notch.

I received my credit today as well. The $ amount was shy about $13 than what was originally quoted. How will I be notified or how can I tell what dvd or dvds were not accepted. Will the unaccepted dvds be returned to me?
Also, I just placed my first order using the store credit (Fountain on Blu-Ray). However, it also asked for my credit card info. I see the deduction from my store credit and I received a confirmation email showing stoe credit was used but I just want some reassurance that my credit card won't be billed as well.

Regarding the store credit. The only time I've ordered at DVDPlanet is a Google Checkout order and it doesn't recognize my email address as having an account. How do I go about logging in/creating my account to access my credit?
