The original was pretty good. I enjoyed it more when it just showed their daily lives during the summer. Didn't enjoy the last half as the first, when they started focusing on retrieving the ball.

I swear I posted in a thread about the sequel, but I don't see my post in either one of the above links.
I LOVED LOVED LOVED the original Sandlot. I had no idea what it was about when I went to the theatre, and it was great.
When I heard they were making part 2, I was skeptical... it's an ok movie, but really the only things that link it to part 1 other than one of the kids in 2 is supposed to be Scotty Smalls' little brother, is both movies involve baseball, a big dog, and star James Earl Jones.
I'll eventually catch #3, but I won't pay $20 for it. I'll wait until it drops a few bucks.

Sandlot 2 was bad enough.
Two sounded horrible, but the synopsis for this one actually sounds decent.

I finally picked this up last week and watched it Wednesday night.
It wasn't that bad actually.
Luke Perry's character is a jerk, but oh well.
the original actor to play Squints returns, and the character of Benny returns (but played buy a different actor)...
I got it real cheap on Amazon, it's worth checking out.
