Seems to hit most of the big ones. I would have included Born In The 50's, When The World Is Running Down, Omegaman, Secret Journey, and Man In A Suitcase. Seems to be plenty of room for more songs on there.

No "when the world is running down" damn that's one of my faves by the police, oh well guess i'll keep my "zenyatta mondatta" disc and pick this up, that will give me all the police i need along with sting's best of disc "fields of gold".

When you can get a good copy of Message in a Box on Ebay for twenty bucks and a new copy for $35, this had better be damned cheap.

Unless this also comes out in DTS or some other surround sound audio, I'll be happy with the single DTS disc I do have and "Message in a Box".

I don't see why I would need to upgrade from the previous GH album, which was also remastered. This is like the new Def Leppard and Petty 2CD GH albums, a downgrade from the original.

Yeah, I should have bought those SACD reprints when I had the chance at Best Buy.

I have Message in a Box and love it. Have no idea why anyone would buy this unless they've not purchased any Police CDs before.

I'm waiting for the inevitable new Live album.

Don't need the anthology but as for the poll question I actually listen to the Live cd more than any other. I never get tired of listening (or watching) the Synchronicity concert from Atlanta.

C O L L E C T I N G. That might be why some people would buy this or any other artists who puts out way too many compilations.

A collector of greatest hits comps? That seems unlikely or at least very, very few people.

I'll probably buy this even though I have their best of SACD. While I buy a lot of studio albums, I do concentrate more on getting greatest hits releases. There are a lot of artists who don't put out solid albums IMO and a greatest hits release is a perfect solution.

Usually, yes I agree with you. But in this case, one can easily buy a solid single disc release or a wonderful inexpensive 4 disc set that includes ever single studio track plus a number of bonus cuts. I'm just not sure why anyone would need something in between those two choices.
