An odd (good) thing happened on my way into Best Buy

I went to Best Buy today to purchase An Evening with Kevin Smith 2: Evening Harder DVD. When I walked in, they handed me a photocopy of the 10% Off Customer Appreciate coupon, that is usually mailed.

It was a plain, black and white copy cutout about the size of the original mailed coupon.

I ended up purchasing the Kevin Smith DVD and another one that I would not have otherwise.

Kudos to Best Buy for stepping up their customer service. The only thing I can think of is that this specific Best Buy opened a month ago, and they are trying to drum up some business.

Either way, best experience I have had in a Best Buy in a long time.

yes.

I forgot about my coupon. Came home and there it was sitting on the counter. Oh well. It was just a buck difference.

So by giving you 10% off they more than made their money back on the item you wouldn't have bought and you were already there to give them a sale and money.

Sure sounds like they are trying to drum up business and for them its working.
