A&E Returns: Just call on defective disks
In late January I placed an order for 3 DVDs during one of A&E's sales (History Channel, Discovery Channel, A&E). We didn't attempt to play any of the disks until mid-March, while on our camping vacation. One of the disks refused to play. I tried it in another machine at home and it didn't play there either. In late-March I returned the DVD with the packing slip, requesting a replacement.
Here it is 3-4 weeks later and no replacement. So I called the customer service linetoday. They had no record of my return. But. . .they don't require a return for defective disks. Simply call them and they'll send out a replacement. Wish I had known that earlier!
So A&E is sending out a new DVD promptly, with no hassle. Pretty good customer service, just wish I had known about it earlier. Hope this info helps someone someday!
