Thank you for your interest in the "Teaching The Levees" Curriculum package which we will be shipping out in September 2007.

Please note: The documentary, When the Levees Broke, was rated TV-14 when it was aired by HBO. The curriculum is intended for high school aged students and older.

Just curious, but why would you want this? From what I understand, we're signing up for the accompanying curriculum, not the Spike Lee doc.

I assumed it included a copy of the film. The movie has yet to be released on DVD yet. Why would you need a curriculum kit without the movie?

Ok. Well, does anyone know if the movie comes with this or not? I'm not paying $21.99 for propaganda.

You could try reading the website, rather than simply filling out the form. The front page tells you. Either way, considering you're not a teacher AND you're so ready to dismiss this as propaganda, perhaps you should just pass on this "curriculum package."

Well, if it doesn't include the DVD, some mod needs to move this topic already.

Ditto.
I hope this doesn't turn out like the "An Inconvenient Truth" DVD. (Vaporless!)
I hope it comes through because I want to watch it.

Just got mine today. Was like "WTF is this...OH WAIT that thing I signed up for a long time ago."

Edit:

It includes only 2 discs which contain the documentary. Disc 3, which has Act V is not included. Also there isn't really a case for it, the discs fit into either side of the cardboard box it was delivered in, with a curriculum book fitting in the middle.

I remember watching part of this documentary in a film class of mine last winter. My father (a history professor at a local JC), ordered this set several weeks ago - I'm excited to see the entire thing (even if I have to netflix ACT V).

I thought the subtitle was A Requiem in Four Acts. What's on disc 3?

Disc 3 is my favorite of the whole package. I bought it when it first came out on Amazon.
