X-Men the Original 90's Animated Series... Is it on DVD?

I know this has probably been answered before... however I couldn't find it in the search... Also has Tiny Toons ever been released? Thank you so much!!

The short answer is ...no.

Sadly, I don't think we'll ever see that series of X-Men. I'd have thought if it was going to release, it would have done so already, most likely taking advantage of the increased interest that came with any one of the three X-Men movies.

That's what happened with the Fantastic Four and that animated series.

X-Men the Animated Series on DVD?

X-Men Animated Series?

X-men animated series (90's), when on DVD?

Those are previous threads discussing the same topic.

The were several DVDs containing a story arc or 2-3 episodes of the series like:

http://www.amazon.com/X-Men-Phoenix-...7252216&sr=1-1

http://www.amazon.com/X-Men-Reunion-...7252216&sr=1-5

http://www.amazon.com/X-Men-Legend-W...7252216&sr=1-3

http://www.amazon.com/X-Men-Sanctuar...7252216&sr=1-4

3 of the 4 are OOP.

To summarize, the US has had four 2-3 episode collections, which are all out-of-print, and the UK is just starting to get the series in partial season sets. Between August and November, one volume is being released a month to form the total of the first two seasons.

I have been getting my does of this and other marvel animated series at Toon Disney, but recently I read somewhere that Disney is planning on changing that channel from toons to tween programming. If they are going to shelve those seasons, then why the fuck don't they release them on DVD?

Actually, it's not changing to tween, but specifically boys 6-14, so I wouldn't be surprised if they keep showing Marvel cartoons. As to the DVDs, apparently there is some confusion over who owns the rights to distribute DVDs in the US of pre-2000 Marvel shows, so I certainly wouldn't hold my breath waiting for them. In fact, I'm going to be getting my first imports with all of these UK Marvel cartoons.

I read somewhere that Buena Vista and Marvel came to an agreement, so now its up to them to begin releasing season sets of these series.

Be sure to post when you get them.

Someone on Toon Zone suggested that the X-Men one was Region Free.

That would rock if so. Hopefully that's the case.

You have no idea how much I would pay for a series set of this. I was my favorite show growing up along with Batman and Spider-man.

They're in fact adding MORE next month, including the 90s Fantastic Four, Avengers, and Spider-Man Unlimited. And X-Men is getting its run expanded to 7 days (though only late at night for some odd reason).

So it's turning into one of the best channels on Digital Cable? Yessss.

I gotta get these DVDs.. it won't matter if they're R0 or not though, since they are PAL anyway.
