Scrubs - "My Words of Wisdom" - 4/12/07

"My Words of Wisdom"
Spoiler:
The Sacred Heart staff try to incorporate Laverne's lessons into their lives. J.D. discovers that Turk knows sign language when he treats a deaf patient. They offer him a surgical implant that would allow him to hear, but his parents refuse it.

The summary is misleading since it turns out that the Janitor knows sign language, not Turk.

Another wonderful episode. I was howling at J.D.'s fake funeral and at Dr. Cox's grin when he heard the Reverend say to take 20 minutes everyday. I knew that wasn't going to happen.

The deaf father and son struck a chord with me since I'm hearing impaired. I liked how that whole situation forced J.D. and Turk to be less judgmental.

Carla laying the smack down on Elliot about Keith was great too. Not to mention Sarah in her outfits.

"Nagger."

I loved this exchange with Cox (I'm paraphrasing):

Cox: "I should just get a big tattoo of my middle finger on the back of my head."

Kelso: "Go ahead. It couldn't make you look like anymore of a psychopath."

I've recently been rewatching all of my Scrubs DVDs in marathon sessions since my roommate just started watching the show this season and now he's playing catch up. A running theme that he's pointed out seems to be Sarah Chalke's willingness to disrobe down to her skivvies. Long story short, Sarah Chalke is awesome.

I agree Sarah Chalke is hot.

A really good episode. JDs fake Funeral was great. And the beginning when he came out singing its a beautiful day.

The best moments are when its Just JD and Turk talking. Its so much fun.

"I don't wanna do Britney and K-Fed anymore. After the divorce it's just too depressing" got the biggest laugh from me.

Yes, yes she is.

Solid episode. JD's been kind of annoying in a lot of episodes this season, but this episode felt like a return to form for him.

Damn it! The guide on my DVR said this was going to be an episode of The Office (which I don't watch) so I missed it...

pfft. South Park did that joke last week... although, I'm pretty sure this episode of Scrubs was written and shot way before that episode of South Park.

If your going to be nitpicky, at least get your facts straight.

South Park 11x01 "With Apologies To Jessee Jackson" March 7, 2007

You're right though. This episode was surely written if not shot before then. I like to call it a hilarious coincidence between two fantastic shows.

Does anyone know why they decided to knock off Laverne's character?

I have no idea, i have looked all over the place to find any info on why Aloma Wright left but it doesn't say.

anyways,
what a fantastic episode of scrubs! this was hands down the best episode of the season so far. Any episode were we get to see Sara Chalkes Boobs ups the episode another million points.

A really good episode. JDs fake Funeral was great. And the beginning when he came out singing its a beautiful day.
I almost pissed myself i thought that was so funny. I liked the part were Cox hugged him and then when JD said i just faked my death to get a hug and Cox snapped his neck was fricken hilarious!

It's nice to see some positive reviews for Scrubs this week. Lately people have had mixed feeling about this season but its nice to see the positive reviews.

It still amazes me how well acted this show really is. It mixes comedy & drama so well.

This is just a guess, but since it was telegraphed from the beginning of the season, maybe she just wanted to move on in her career or spend more time at home and told the producers so they could do something creative.
