South Park - "D-Yikes" - 4/11/07

Ms. Garrison gets dumped again and she takes it out on the fourth grade class.

Only two new ones left! They're on a roll though. Too bad Imus won't get slammed.

Garrison turning into a "lesbian" is very funny.

Yeah, that was a pre-emptive slamming.

I wonder if Ms. Garrison's lesbian crush is actually a transexual?

That's one of the many things that I love about this show.

Everything before the first commercial break was A+ South Park, as good as it gets. After that I thought it dropped to B level South Park. I finally got around to watching 300 last night, so that was all still very fresh. I thought the "tribute" was done well, it just didn't have me laughing out loud like the first part of the episode.

"You kicked me in my pussy!" was the highlight for me.

DYKE FIGHT!

I rather enjoyed the intensity of watching Ms. Garrison brew a pot of coffee.

Glad I just saw 300 last weekend or I would've had no idea what was going on. The bit with the "essays" was pretty good too.

Okay, I know and work with a lot of Persians in the Southern California area, and while South Park's generalizing for sure, I have never before seen westernized Persians depicted this hysterically. Hair-gel, silk shirts, too much cologne, club proprietor - this is racial humor at it's best, where it's funny, and not racist - same with the day-laborers. Imus should take notes.

It's rare that an episode not focusing on the boys is one I love, but this is certainly one of them.

Three weeks in a row where your enjoyment of the episode is fairly dependent on knowledge of the source material. Certainly glad I saw 300.

Both "You have to be careful with scissors." and "Scissor me timbers" had me

Yeah, Butters' one line was the best one of the episode.

HOLY SHIT! From the moment the Mexicans said they wrote their "essays" I think I was laughing NON-STOP until way after the credits were over. Seriously, I have not laughed this much in a very, very long time. I almost died when Garrison dolled up the Mexicans to look like the Persians!

False. I've never seen 24, Da Vinci Code or 300.. and probably never will. But I've been laughing my ass off every week. They've been kept general enough that all you need to know is what they're parodying (and honestly, that's probably not even required either).
