'Inspirational' Song for Slideshow

Hello! I am looking for some good suggestions for a song that will play during a powerpoint. This powerpoint will be played at a largescale benefit dinner for the Boy Scouts of America. The pictures will be scouts camping, etc, with mentors, learning, doing activities, etc. (Last year they used LeAnn Womacks 'Something Worth Leaving Behind') So try to think of something fitting and emotional!

Thanks!

"Be Prepared" by Tom Lehrer

You know: of all the songs I've ever sung, that is the one I've had the most requests not to.
I have time for one more here. This one is a little song dedicated to the Boy Scouts of America. [applause] We seem to have a convention here tonight. The Boy Scouts of America, those noble little... bastions of democracy, and the American Legion of tomorrow. Their motto is... I would like to state at this time that I am not now and have never been... a member of the Boy Scouts of America. Their motto is, as you know, Be Prepared! and that is the name of this song.

Be prepared! That's the Boy Scout's marching song,
Be prepared! As through life you march along.
Be prepared to hold your liquor pretty well,
Don't write naughty words on walls if you can't spell.

Be prepared! To hide that pack of cigarettes,
Don't make book if you cannot cover bets.
Keep those reefers hidden where you're sure
That they will not be found
And be careful not to smoke them
When the scoutmaster's around
For he only will insist that it be shared.
Be prepared!

Be prepared! That's the Boy Scouts' solemn creed,
Be prepared! And be clean in word and deed.
Don't solicit for your sister, that's not nice,
Unless you get a good percentage of her price.

Be prepared! And be careful not to do
Your good deeds when there's no one watching you.
If you're looking for adventure of a
new and different kind,
And you come across a Girl Scout who is
similarly inclined,
Don't be nervous, don't be flustered, don't be scared.
Be prepared!

"Higher Ground" by Stevie Wonder (or, if you want a little more edge, try the Red Hot Chilli Peppers version)

"Kill the Poor" by Dead Kennedys
that "Fish Heads" song
or perhaps
"Angel of Death" by Slayer

Sorry, can't give you a serious recommendation. It's actually pretty hard to find a good rock song about the value of earnest hard work.

"The Touch" by Stan Bush

Okay, seriously, how about "Tick Tock" by the Vaughan Brothers?

I think Michael Scott of The Office used "With Or Without You" for his mini-movie presentation.

LeAnn Womacks 'Something Worth Leaving Behind'.

Do you really think people are going to remember that this was the background music from last year's slide presentation?

That, or In-a-gadda-da-vida by Iron Butterfly.

At our final formation before graguation of basic training, they played Hero by R Kelly I think, For Those About To Rock, and I think Red, White and Blue by Lynard Skynard. I dont particulary like any of those songs, but in that moment, i loved it, so any of them should be pretty good for Boy Scouts.

I've always found the music added to these kinds of things to be pretty lame. The music should never call attention to itself in this kind of presentation - it should only serve to accent the pictures. I would suggest sticking with something instrumental for that reason. Try some kind of classical piece to remain neutral.

"Angel Of Death" by Slayer. A song that is good for any occasion.

Or "Let Love In" (or whatever their latest song is called) by the Goo Goo Dolls.
