Gold and Blue Star Stickers on DVDs at Blockbuster?
I was in Blockbuster this evening and saw these blue and yellow star stickers on a bunch of DVDs on the New Release wall. I asked the lady who worked there what the stickers were for and she refused to tell me and said I would have to wait until Friday.
Does anyone know what the supposed "promotion" is?
This is purely my imagination running wild.....but......what if these "starred" DVDs are connected with the Total Access. I noticed only older new releases had stars on them. What if they are limiting the movies you can swap in store to only the ones with stars on them?

That wouldn't surprise me either, and if that's the case, I can go ahead and cancel BB the day they make the change. Blockbuster's catalog titles are crap, the only reason I use Total Access is to get new releases!

The minute BB does this (if thats whats up) is the minute I cancel as well. I tried HWV and that bullshit got old real fast and I canceled.
I use my TOTAL ACCESS for online renting of older, obscure and foreign titles not found in the stores and then I use my mailers to get the new releases on the shelves.
If they fuck with my sweet system, I will go back to NETFLIX because I aint gonna constantly deal with VERY LONG WAITS in "Q" for new releases. Netflix orders more copies of new movies than BB. If BB does this they will have shot themselves in the foot while they were surpassing Netflix with the TA system.

They are rent 3 for 9.99 you have to get three with stickers. There is no mixing and matching. They are everything that is 27-52 weeks old.
This does not start until this weekend or so.

That's cool. So long as they don't mess with my online rental stuff.

Don't consider it nipped in the bud yet:
I recently received an invitation to take survey of the online Blockbuster program, of which I am a member.
The ENTIRE content of the survey was variations on the question, "If we charged you an additional $5/month for the ability to trade your blockbuster online dvds in store for rentals, would you do it?"
Seems like potential bad news is in store.
