Amazing Safeway Store deal in certain states

Availible in WA, OR, AZ, KS, NE, WY,SD, NM, MT, ID and CO
I got the Safeway ad offering a 25 dollar giftcard (for any of their giftcards including Best Buy except not a visa or american express) if you purchase ten qualified products from 3/28/07 to 04/10/07. Limit 1 per household.
Qualified products include coke products, nestle ice cream bars, hunts ketchup, golden mustard, hebrew national hot dogs and others.

The ad I just got here in SoCal had the products, and you get 4 free Dodgers tickets (they're claiming $100 value) when you buy 10 products on the same receipt. Guess it would be a good deal depending on the game you get and the time of day...

Yeah, we have 4 Giants tickets for our promotion. However they're listed as only a $72 value.

Funny that Safeway's ex-chairman is also owner of the Giants.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, I had the ad stuffed in my mail bin and decided to check and lo and behold, it was there.

Here's a pic of the ad:

"Receive your $25 Gift Card when you buy any 10 partcipating products and use your Safeway Club Card. Purchases must be made in one transaction between 3/28/07 and 4/10/07. A gift card voucher will be issued that can be redeemed at any Safeway store for any $25 gift card excluding Visa and American Express. Limit one Request per person/family/household. Mail in Official Gift Card Voucher to be received by 5/1/07. Open only to residents of WA, OR, AZ, KS, NE, WY, SD, NM, MT, ID and CO."

So, I only have to buy one of the 10 items to receive a $25 Gift Card? That's a steal...

I'd prefer you not shop at Safeway - it's not good for my profit sharing and 401k...

(I work for a national competitor - I believe you should be shopping at Albertsons in those areas )

Pretty sure that means you have to buy 10 items from the participating products, not "any of 10 products." Still a steal as the products are all frozen stuff that you probably buy anyways and will eventually use. Too bad its free Dodgers tickets here, I'd be all over the gift card.

Well I got it, though it was kind of hard for them to figure out how the voucher worked... they were very helpful though, kept on telling me, you'll get one don't worry.

shelland, my house is in between a Albertsons and a Safeway and the more attractive female cashiers are at Albertsons. I'll go there next time.

Safeway beats the crap out of Albertson's here, in my opinion (as far as quality/selection is concerned, not pricing or overall sales). And I say this as a former employee of the supermarket Albertson's now owns.
