Interesting choice of directors. Oddly enough Carax hasn't directed a film since 1999.
With the anthology film Paris, je t'aime still making the film festival circuit, a new collabration project has arose courtesy of three promising international directors.
Bong Joon-Ho, Michel Gondry, and Leos Carax will take on the tentativelly titled Tokyo, a film set to tell three seperate tales in Japan's famed city.
Bong Joon-Ho stated that the film it will be similar to that of New York Stories, which brought together directors Martin Scorese, Woody Allen, and Francis Ford Coppola. While most of the film's stories are still under wrap, the South Korean director has announced that he has finished work on his script and it will follow the relationship of a Japanese man and woman.
Shooting on the picture is expected to begin in July or August.

Darn, I posted this almost two years ago and almost forgot about it! Good looking trailer. This was never released here in Canada (except for the Vancouver Film Fest) but IMDB states it had a limited release in the US in December 2008. Wonder if anyone has seen it? I think there's a French DVD coming out in May.
