Sports DVD Sale @ FamilyVideo.com (+ $0.99 shipping!)

Hey all -

Got an e-mail from these folks today and did some price comparisons... seems like a pretty decent sale, especially with their 99-cent shipping. 40 titles to choose from, including NFL, NHL and NBA. They even have Shaq's reality show!

Sports DVD Sale

Anyhoo, hope some of you will find a few gems in the mix there.

Enjoy!

Thanks........ I didn't even realize the Indiana Pacers had a dvd out (just came out on the 13th). I was hoping they would release something on Reggie Miller, but this might be as good as it gets, with 4 of his best games. The price is great compared to other websites.

You gave me something to think about..........

Thanks bwsmom, just bought one of the NBA series --- cheaper than I've ever seen it anywhere, ebay included. And I've been looking for a couple of months.

Is there a new $5 off coupon yet, or anything else like that?

Thanks!

Its a great set...... you'll be very pleased. Its nice to have one of the greatest Super Bowl runs by the Greatest Football Franchise forever preserved on dvd. Plus it comes in handy when the Steelers have a season like they did this past year.

Does anyone know if the Pacers Set has any special features? I can't find that anywhere, but I saw that its 450 minutes long...... that seems to be longer than just having the basketball games without commercials.

Also, when does the sale end?

I'm tempted to get that Super Bowl XLI DVD. I'm a big Indy fan and would have bit already on this disc but the viewer reviews on Amazon were brutal. Still that's by far the best price I've seen.

Great find! They have the 20 disc NFL Films Super Bowl set for only $70 ($30 cheaper than Amazon). I already have the 15 disc Super Bowl I-XXX set, so I just need the most recent individual set (XXXI-XL), which is still $7 cheaper than Amazon.

Throw in the Pistons boxed set as well, and I'm a happy man!

Use code: NEWMEM5F and save an additional $5. Just found out about this code from my brother who has a FamilyVideo by his house and they have the code posted instore. It might only be for new members, which I am, so I can't guarantee success for everyone.

$10.99 shipped for the Indiana Pacers Greatest Games Volume 1 set....... can't beat that anywhere on the net.

BTW, fill out the survey at the end and get your choice of up to 4 different magazines subscriptions for a year for only $2 per subscription. Just have to remember to cancel after a year or you pay the higher renewal rate I'm sure.

Thanks, LostFan. I e-mailed Family Video and told them I just placed my order last week but failed to enter my new member code. They replied with an e-mail telling me that they'd refund me the difference!

Wow, that's customer service. I have to say, I'm impressed with familyvideo.com. I think their prices are very good, shipping at 99 cents is great, and now your experience with customer service. I doubt this is the first time I buy from them.

I was hoping the Miami Heat 15 Strong DVD was 50% off as well. Too bad...

(1) NBA Detroit Pistons 1989 Champions: Born to be Bad DVD (085391103066) = $29.99
(1) Learning to Fly - The World Champion Chicago Bulls Rise to Glory 6 - Disc Set DVD (085391123460) = $24.99
Total of $50.97 for both with the $5 coupon.

Thanks!!!

BTW, for NBA sports fans, do you know if there are NBA DVDs in widescreen yet? If you do, please share the list.

I'd like the answer to this question as well. Cover art is the same.

edit: I'm so impatient...I ordered it and I'll hope for the best. For $10.98 shipped, it's a chance I can take. I couldn't wait for the original DVD to come out, and was really disappointed when the reviews weren't great. If I get stuck with it, I'm sure it'll be worth the $11 anyway.

I'm banking on it being the 4-disc solely because Amazon lists that version as having an MSRP of $29.99 (like Family Video's website), with the 2-disc priced at $26.99.

Well, still can't say which version it is, since the bastards sent me NFL's Greatest Follies instead.
