The top 12 contestants perform selections from the Diana Ross and the Supremes songbook after coaching sessions with the singing legend.
Diana Ross will be performing on Wednesday in the Results show.

According to The Post Chronicle, Simon Cowell is definitely not enjoying the rein of terror that Sanjaya Malakar is bringing to American Idol. Simon had this to say: "He's not going to win. I won't be back if he does!" The whiny Brit has never been so upset about a contestant making the top 12, and he's never threatened to quit before, so it looks like it's up to VFTW to help power vote for Sanjaya for a while. Simon will already have to endure Sanjaya on the Idol CD and Sanjaya in the finale (even if he doesn't win, he'll come back to sing with the others), let's make him also endure Sanjaya on the Idol tour and Sanjaya as the reason he lost his lucrative job. Yay!

If that Simon quote is legit, he has nobody to blame but himself and the other judges. THEY put him through to Hollywood and eventually the top 24.

I'm looking forward to tonight. Don't they move to the big stage and auditorium? I expect great things from Lakisha, Melinda and Blake. Curious how Blake will "funkify" (I made that up... I think) his version of whatever song.

The best vocal I have heard of "God Bless the Child" was Yeardly Smith's rendition on "The Simpson's Sing the Blues" Album.

Stephanie.. better than they gave her credit .. I do understand what Simon is trying to tell her.. if she's going to compete against the two other divas, she's going to have to step it up a little.
Chris Sligh.. wasn't impressed.. bring back the glasses
Sunjaya.. let the bashing begin.

Chris Sligh should be taken out back and shot afer that horrible Coldplay mash up version of Endless Love. Blake wasn't much better with his 80's dance club mix.
