Any current deals for a Western Digital My Book External Hard Drive?

Hi All,

I have decided to purchase a Western Digital My Book. Either the 250 or 320gb version. Are there any current deals out there?

Thank you in advance

Best Buy JUST had them all 15% last week. I've noticed they've been on sale there a few times over the past few months, so you may want to keep looking

You know I just bought that 500gb one at Costco for 199.99 last month. I also bought the ES edition from BB last week for 195.99 and Im undecided about which one I want to keep or return.

There were deals on various sizes in no less than 3 ads in todays paper. Can't remember which other than Best Buy being one of them. Maybe Office Depot and circuit city being the other.

Thanks, but i live in London and do not have access to the sunday circular like i used to. the idea is for me to buy it on the web and have it ready for when i come home for a couple days then take it back with me to London.

I bought a 250gb a couple of months ago and was disappointed to find out that if you leave them plugged in they will turn on every time you turn on your computer. Very stupid that this can't be disabled. I end up leaving it unplugged from the wall most of the time.

For those of you who have one how is it? I've had very bad luck with every Western Digital HD I've had so I'm a bit skeptical about this product.

My WD 160 gb passport from Costco is small, looks great, and is extremely quiet. no problems, knock on wood, thus far. My WD 250 my book is larger and needs to be plugged in- lightly louder. In retrospect i probably would have just opted for 2 wd passports.

Yeah I guess time will tell. Like I said, I've had horrible luck with WD's. I've had 3 or 4 WD's and literally every one I've had starts the infamous, "Western Digital Scratch Whirrr...scratch scratch whirrrr" sound after a year or two of use then eventually craps out.
