Note, some of these are Full Frame, while others come in both FF and WS formats. Be sure to check what you're ordering!

Hmm, some OK titles in there. I'd be interested in the Empire of the Sun and possibly the Spies Like Us/Nothing But Trouble 2-pack. I've kinda been spending too much lately though, so I dunno. Besides, Empire of the Sun has got to have an SE lined up. I can't imagine a film like that being limited to a release like that.

meh...can DDD sales get any more boring and predictable?

first we get the crappy 5.99 universal and miramax sale with the same titles followed by criterion sale and then this warner bros titles (which are on sale in pretty much everywhere),do you want me to tell you what next?

Lion's Gate sale (yes with the same titles we had back August/September),followed by B1G1F of Anchor Bay then we will get B1G1F of TV sets by Sony then 42432424% OFF ON Warner Bros SEs and so on..

and it suprises me how ppl go crazy over their sales everytime lol.

DDD and DVDplaner, be original and give us an all NEW sale like B1G1F of warner Bros boxsets or something.

New? You must be fairly new to the bargain forums, it's a favorite pasttime of a number of posters.

Wow, people sure are bitching a lot about this sale. Maybe the DDD folks who read DVDTalk will get the hint and stop putting ANYTHING on sale.

I for one am happy for this sale. I ordered:
$5.47 9 1/2 Weeks (DDD says FF, but the UPC comes up as WS)
$5.47 Hamlet (1990/Zeffirelli)
$5.47 Incredible Mr. Limpet (BaaaROOOOM!)
$5.47 Purple Rain (FF)
$5.47 Rock Star
$6.58 Neverending Story I/II
-----
$33.93

That's quality!

Not to invoke the spirit of Lionel Huntz, but I find it curious that a movie called "Neverending Story" has a sequel.

I joined around the same timeframe as you, mate. I just don't post as much [or come across the whiny posts, apparently]. I find it appalling that someone would complain about scheduled sales. Who the f cares? Scheduled, spontaneous, semi-scheduled/semi-spontaneous, WHO CARES?!?

Oh I agree with you, it can get pretty funny. People can get pissed when things go on sale.

Back to topic, those 2 packs ahve some good deals.

I think people should realize the reason many places have the same items on sale is because the studios give them discounts on specific items for a limited time and the stores are passing the savings to their customers.

DeepDiscount.Com - Shipped Today
$1.58 Ricochet
$1.58 Gotti
$1.58 Volunteers
$6.58 Tequila Sunrise/Conspiracy Theory (Double Feature)

DeepDiscount.Com - Backordered - To be Shipped 3/18
$6.58 Astronaut's Wife/Don Juan DeMarco (Double Feature)
$6.58 Collateral Damage/Eraser (Double Feature)

The $1.58 titles weren't high on my list but can't argue with them at that price. I think most of the Double Features are anamorphic, or widescreen at the very least, if not oh well all of it only came to $25.

I enjoyed Matchstick Men back when I rented it. That may be worth a purchase.

Nope on this NewLine double feature - its crappy FOOLSCREEN for both films. (Be careful with any/all NewLine doubles/triples - suggest to check cover details at, say, DVDEmpire before purchasing !!)

My copy was to be 'binned' - thankfully nephew like Depp - so he took it !!
