I never watched the show, so I honestly don't care, but I figured someone might want to give it a try.
It should only be valid for a day. Maybe.

That's actually a pretty sweet deal. 1-7 might seem like an odd and arbitrary collection when the show ran for 9 seasons but you could look at it as $99.99 for the Larry David era and it's definitely a steal.
I'm sure it's like most of their bundles of this type anyway where it's just the items thrown together in a box, maybe shrinkwrapped together but ultimately just the individual releases so you could add 8 & 9 to the collection as they're released.
I've purchased all the seasons as they've been released but if I hadn't I'd be all over this.

I'm a big fan of the show, but I'm gonna pass on this. The show is on about 6 times a day on tv, so I don't think I'm gonna pay 100 for the bonus features. It is a pretty good deal though.

Not bad, but Have to factor in that seasons 1 & 2 are in a single set (so it works out to close to $17 a set)... i have almost all of these and paid about $14 a season throughout various sales
Good deal for someone that doesn't wanna wait though

You'll also get a few extra seconds that are cut for syndication. Also, the extras are much fuller than the usual TV on DVD extras.

They're just releasing what's already available. I'm sure a complete set (or at least bundled set) will be available when all the seasons have been released. If you search for "seinfeld" on amazon, you can see that they have bundled previous sets too (seasons 1-6, seasons 1-5, etc.).

I wish the studios would have some kind of rebate program for the loyal fans that buy every season as soon as they are released, maybe a coupon or code packaged into the previous set purchased. It is ridiculous that they penalize the true fans that spend most of the dollars and then offer a huge discount on the full series after all of the individual seasons have been released.

It's the true fans who buy seasons right away who allow studios to lower their prices to draw in more casual fans later.
Once sales have slowed at $30-$40, the studios will lower the price to see if people will buy it cheaper.

That's a great deal, but completeists keep in mind that only includes the DVD sets. There was a couple gift sets (seasons 1-3 and seasons 5-6) that included the DVDs as well as extra stuff. It's the same disc content, but, if you even care, you miss out on stuff like the puffy shirt replica.

The extras like the salt and pepper shakers and the puffy shirt were not worth the extra money they were charging.
This is a great deal, at about $17 per set. I paid a little more per set by buying each individually (with a few deals here and there like B1G1 Free), but I've gotten a lot of use out of them, so I'm not complaining.

Being a HUGE Seinfeld fan, I haven't bought any of these yet though I am aware that they are fabulous sets with great picture quality and great extras.
My hope is that there'll be a complete series set with nice packaging along the lines of the Friends or Six Feet Under sets.

Not at all. I'm not sure I'd get them if I could change my mind now. I was just reminding the people that want every little thing possible.
