Help puchasing a CD (from Japan)

I was wondering if there was a DVDTalk member based in Japan who could possibly help a fellow CD collector add to his collection?

There is a seller at Amazon.co.jp who apparently has the Japan version of a CD I very much want (but no one else seems to have) but who won't ship to the United States. If someone here, who lives there, could buy it and then "drop" ship it to me here I would greatly appreciate it (and pay $ for the favor).

Any takers?

Thanks!

-Gunshy

(mods, sorry if this is the wrong forum for this request)

Which CD, just out of curiosity? I'll help try to locate it elsewhere if need be...

Thanks Bus.

It's by the band Sex Mob and the title is "Sex Mob Does Bond". The Japanese version has a bonus track and a catalog number of TOCP-65838.

I appreciate any help you can offer.

If you don't find anyone here who can/will help, if you really want the CD, you can always enlist a deputy service. You'll be paying above and beyond the cost of the CD, but if you want it enough, it may be your best option.

I found a couple of places that had it in stock, Gunshy, but don't ship to the US.

Good new/bad news: Amazon.de appears to have it in stock and it's easy to order from the international Amazon sites if you have an account with the US branch, but the price is €42.99/$56.xx! Not sure if you're willing to pay such a price for it...

[edit]For what it's worth, I've added the Japanese import to my lala wishlist, so if someone happens to send it my way, I'll certainly be in touch!

Yeah, that's the common US/UK edition that only has 13 tracks. I'm only interested in the Japan version that has a bonus 14th track "Thunderball". Thanks anyway.

Urgh! I thought I checked all Amazon's international sites but either I missed this one or it came back in stock since I checked It's worth a shot if I can navigate through the language barrier...

I appreciate your putting it on your Lala list for me

I'll certainly post if I get it via Amazon.de or another method.

J-PopHelp.com lists it on backorder. I've backordered quite a few Japanese releases from them long after they were supposed to be OOP. I think it's worth a shot to try there.

Kumar, thanks a million for helping me to get this rare CD! It arrived today, perfectly packed, new condition. You're the best.

FYI, this band's site can be seen here http://www.stevenbernstein.net/sexmobmain/

Look to the bottom for links to tracks to hear and some videos. They're playing in NYC this weekend but we've got company so I gotta stay put - damn! At least I've got my new Bond CD to hear courtesy of Kumar
