I was told today by a Sales Rep for 1 of the largest DVD distributors that Hogans Heroes S 1-5 will undergo a price drop on May 1. Just thought I would post in case anyone was about to pull the trigger. BTW, it is a major price drop.

who would have believed that a sitcom about a WWII P.O.W. camp would have lasted 6 seasons.

and it probally could have went a season 7 if not for networks pulling the plug saying they wanted more contemporary comedies on. this show should have had a final episode like MASH for closure. I like to find out what happened to the gang after the war, especially Col. Klink.

Tried for violations of the Geneva Convention, sentenced to thirty years in prison. Shot while trying to escape.

I'm actually surprised to hear/read that 6 seasons was ALL there was !!! There's a few shows out there that seem to have been around a lot longer than they have, and Hogans Heroes is definitely one I put in that category.

I thought maybe Hogan would have felt sorry for old Klink and Schultz and help them get away after the war with his connections, so what about Lobo and one Col. Hogan? what happened to them lol.

Col. Klink escaped from Germany after the war and had extensive plastic surgery...

He also changed his name to: Vanessa-Mae

don't forget

alive:
Ivan Dixon(Sgt. Kinchloe)

dead:
Howard Caine(Maj. Hochstetter)(1993)

Also

There's some interesting trivia on imdb, i did know that askin, klemperer, caine, banner and clary were jewish, i didn't know that both banner and clary had been in nazi concentration camps.

Another thing I thought was really interesting, the leather jacket that crane wore in the series was originally worn by frank sinatra in von ryan's express!

Six seasons, but 168 episodes. That's almost eight seasons worth of eps today.
