I was at Hollywood Video tonight and found maybe 10 copies of the newly released to DVD "The Guardian" with Kevin Costner for $9.99 (previously viewed); which when rang up is $5 plus tax.
I was shocked and thought it might have been a mistake but you all can check locally. This was at the Hollywood Video store on Chatham Road in Springfield, IL.

Huh, I'll have to check out mine... Wasn't a big fan of the movie (it was alright) but for $5, why not?

Sorry, I should have been clearer.
I know that all previously viewed movies priced at $9.99 are now $5 BUT what I was shocked about was that "The Guardian" was already marked down to $9.99 as it was just released to DVD.
Our stores also allow you to buy one or two PV DVD's and get them at $8.34 each (one-third of their 3 PV DVD's for $25 offer running now) which is a pretty good deal if you cannot or do not want to buy three PV'd DVD movies at one time...

The stores in Florida have a huge selection of fairly new movies 3/$25 on anything over $9.99 and anything $9.99 and under is $5.

Off-topic (doesn't deserve its own thread) but at my Hollywood Video, anything under $9.99 is now 50% off. Picked up a couple movies for $2.99.

Last week I was looking for Prestige and clerk said it also came out listed as $9.99 but she thought it was a mistake. Naturally, there weren't any copies on the shelves, but when I went to the other location in S. Plainfield, they had Prestige at 3/$25. Definitely YMMV
