recordedbooks.com

The only gripe is that they use media mail and it can take a while to receive a selection

Another option to explore is a membership at Audible.com, where you get a certain # of credits each month towards downloading an audio book.

My best source has been my local library. I can find audio books in the online catalog, and they'll send them to my house for free!! I return them to the nearest branch when I'm through. Check out your local library to see what they offer. Heck, when I returned my last audio book, I picked up the Nacho Libre, Lady in the Water, World Trade Center, and Babel DVDs. All free again.

I was an audible subscriber for years and really liked it. Their prices are a bit higher now, but the value is very good.

I second the library, my library has dozens if not hundreds of adult and 'young adult' books on CD.
Free, assuming you're not late with returning it, and make sure you learn what your library will do for you (we can renew and reserve books online, and they'll ship them to your local library of choice to hold for you to pick up.)

www.simplyaudiobooks.com/

I just signed up myself under the CDN site, looks good so far. They seem a little slow in turn around time though so far.

If you have an ipod or other mp3 player, check this site out:

Selection's not huge, but it's a cool idea and there are some good titles on there. Or there are plenty of short-story or serialized novel podcasts as well.
