I'm placing an order today for my daughters Birthday, and wanted to pull the trigger on the DS Lite.

Can you give me a quickie list of must own great games I should buy with it?

Animal Crossing: Wide World. The game will be fun for both of you.

Mario Kart DS if you like racing games.

Both of those allow for playing with people via the built-in wi-fi as long as you have a wireless access point connected to the internet or go into a place that does.

My younger daughter loves the Tamagotchi games for the DS. Also would recommend getting New Super Mario Bros.

Mine (6 year old) is still playing Nintendogs to this day. She likes Super Princess Peach as well. I'm planning on picking up Disney Meteos very soon.

At that age group, you really should check out the Gameboy Advance huge library of titles too.

I am currently addicted to NSMB, I don't even really like the gmae that much but am addicted to it. Honestly I love the DS but I am not a big fan of 2d games, need more 3d

I bought my 8yr old niece a DS Light for christmas and she loves it. Some of the games she loves to play are:

Mario Kart DS
Club House Games
Animal Crossing
Princess Peach
Big Brain Academy

Also these are the same games that I like as well!
